PART 3 OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREVIEW: ACC

    Q&A

Q: What gave Virginia Tech the Coastal?

A: All 7 teams (OK, probably six because my favorite team Virginia stinks) have a shot to win the Coastal crown. I then eliminated Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh (and Virginia if they were ever even in the discussion) to bring it down to 4 teams. North Carolina has a weak offensive line and some concerns in the back 4. Miami’s schedule is one of the toughest in the league, drawing FSU and Louisville out of the Atlantic and QB Ryan Williams’ season is in jeopardy after tearing his ACL. That brings us down to Virginia Tech and last year’s cinderella, Duke. It will most likely come down to that Saturday night in November, on the 15th with the clash between the Hokies and the Blue Devils. To be honest, Duke is a better team but you can rest assured that  Lane Stadium will be rocking giving the edge to Frank Beamer and co.

Q: Who’s the sleeper this year?

A: Georgia  Tech. I felt bad putting them sixth but the shocking transfer of Vad Lee made me feel it would turn into a rebuilding year they also have a hole at runningback as the two leading rushers are gone. The schedule doesn’t give any favors either but don’t be surprised if Georgia Tech finds itself in the ACC championship game. Replacement QB Paul Johnson is unproven but has more potential than Lee.

Q: What is Florida State’s most likely loss?

A: I don’t know if there are any they have no holes on the roster and frankly look unbeatable. If I had to pick one it would be Notre Dame, the Fighting Irish look like a team that could shock the world.

Q: What is Virginia’s most likely IN-CONFERENCE win?

A: Home against Pitt? I don’t know this team looks to bee headed for another winless year.
