PART 5 OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREVIEW: BIG 12

    Q&A

Q: What is the “Game of the year” in the B12

A: Can I take two? Texas @ Kansas State is underrated and should be a great game, then there is the game that everyone is talking about, Baylor @ Oklahoma. That could be a College Gameday site and both teams should be top-10 when November 8th rolls around.

Q: Who is a sleeper this year? (BIG 12)

A: TCU. The Horned Frogs lost half their games last year by a touchdown or less. The defense will be great as Gary Patterson defense’s are and hiring Sonny Cumbie and Doug Meacham as co-offensive coordinator’s should help the offense improve. Transfer Matt Joeckel should push Trevone Boykin for the starting job at QB. With an improved offense and an even better defense the Horned Frogs should be able turn those close losses into close wins.

    Q: My Pokes at 7th? C’mon CSD!

A: Mike Gundy has recruited excellently and the Cowboys have been a BIG 12 power as of late but this seems to be the OK State version of a rebuilding year. The losses on defense look to be too much as the Pokes lose 5 all-Big 12 defensemen and the crop at the quarterback position, once rotating between 3 players is thin. The Cowboys will be competitive in 2014 but are far from being legitimate contenders.
