    THE FINALS

So here we are, on the grandest stage of them all in pro basketball. The NBA Finals. Who does CSD think will come out on top?

    Game 1 (In OKC): Thunder
    Game 2 (In OKC): Heat
    Game 3 (In Miami): Thunder
    Game 4 (In Miami): Thunder
    Game 5 (In OKC): Heat
    Game 6 (In Miami): Heat
    Game 7 (In Miami): Heat

I think the Thunder will jump out to a 3-1 lead but Lebron leads the Heat to 3 straight victories for their 3rd straight NBA TITLE!

  • GRIZZLIES LOCK UP 7 SEED WITH OT WIN OVER MAVS

GRIZZLIES LOCK UP 7 SEED WITH OT WIN OVER MAVS

Down 105-104 Mike Conley drove and was fouled hard, he went to line, made both freebies to give the Grizz the lead. Monta Ellis’ prayer fell short and the Grizzlies avoided playing the mighty 62-20 Spurs. Some key players for the Mavs were Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol, Mike Conley, and Tony Allen.

All Playoff matchups are now set, here is how it looks in the West:

(MATCHUPS WE WILL WILL BE FOCUSING IN ON IN ALL CAPS!!!)

    SPURS vs MAVERICKS

    Clippers vs Warriors

    Rockets vs Trail Blazers

    THUNDER VS GRIZZLIES

    BREAKDOWN TIME :):):)

    SPURS VS MAVERICKS

The Mavs haven’t beat the Spurs in over TWO YEARS! I think the Spurs have got this one pretty much in the bag.

    THUNDER VS GRIZZLIES

Last Year the Grizz beat the Thunder in 5 but Russell Westbrook was out so you really just have to weigh how important Westbrook is. I think he is extremely important to this teams success. I’ve got the Thunder in 7.

  • GRIZZLIES EDGE SUNS TO LOCK UP FINAL PLAYOFF SPOT

GRIZZLIES EDGE SUNS TO LOCK UP FINAL PLAYOFF SPOT

The Suns vs the Grizzlies for the final playoff spot was supposed to by a dandy…and it was.

“It’s stressful, being in a game that both teams are going back and forth,” Grizzlie star Mike Conley said “Every time we made a play, they made a play. Give them credit, they played their hearts out. We were just able to make enough plays down the stretch.”There were 15 lead changes in the 4th quarter alone…FIFTEEN! With 1 minute to play the Suns were up 91-90 when Mike Conley hit a 3 for the Grizzlies. After the Suns turned the ball over  Randolph hit a quick 2 for Memphis and the Grizzlies were up 95-91 with 47.4 seconds to play and the Grizzlies went on to win 97-91.

So the Suns won’t make the playoffs, a shame really because they’ve had such an amazing year so let’s give a warm round of applause to the Phoenix. On the other hand… Do the Grizzlies have chance to knock off the Spurs/Thunder? VOTE NOW: http://poll.pollcode.com/34826523

  • HEAT-PACERS RECAP

    HEAT-PACERS RECAP

The heat were on fire last night in Miami, Lebron scored 36, Udonis Haslem was one rebound away from a double-double and Mario Chalmers distributed the ball well as the Heat soared to a 12 point victory over the Pacers to give the Heat the 1 seed in the east… for the time being. Even though we only have 5 days remaining, anything can happen.

    The game was over when…

Mid-3rd quarter, Mario Chalmers knocked down a 3… then Lebron hit a pair of freebies and the Heat went on a 16-0 run to put Miami up 23.

The MVP of this game was…

    LEBRON JAMES

What to take away from this matchup…

The Heat are still dominant and the favorite to win the East.

    Cool Stat…

The Pacers are 4-0 vs the Nets

The Heat are 0-4 vs the Nets

The Heat and the Pacers tied 2-2….seems legit!

  • THUNDER (57-21) AT CLIPPERS (55-24) RECAP (OKC 107 LAC 101)

THUNDER (57-21) AT CLIPPERS (55-24) RECAP (OKC 107 LAC 101)

    Thunder 107 Clippers 101

As Serge Ibaka blocked the 3 out of JJ Reddick’s hand to clinch the game the Staples Center crowd grew quiet, the run to cut it to one, the glorious comeback from down 15 with 7 minutes to play was over, and the Thunder walked away with the 2 seed in the West solidified. A win would have given the Clippers the tiebreaker over OKC. Problem was, they didn’t win

“To win big games, you got to do the little things. We did all those things,” Said Thunder star Russell Westbrook “We’re an older group. We’ve been together for some years. Once these guys get their legs under them, we’re going to be in good shape.” Westbrook had 30 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Thunder were led by Russell Westbrook (30 Pts, 11 Rbs (8 Def), 6 Ast, 12-24 FG, 6-8 FT), Serge Ibaka (15 Pts, 7 Reb (6Def), 5-12 FG), Kevin Durant (27 Pts, 8-26 FG, 10-11 FT), and Steven Adams (7 Pts, 7 Reb (5 Def))

  • HEAT LOSE IN 2OT BATTLE

    HEAT LOSE IN 2OT BATTLE

    Timberwolves 37-37 at Heat 52-22

Let’s start, 97-96 T-Wolves, 3.9 seconds left and Mario Chalmers shooting 2 free throws, he misses the first and makes the second. So we are tied at 97 with 3.9 seconds left, T-Wolves ball. Minnesota has one last shot to win, you know who they’re going to..The in bounds pass to Kevin Love, Love turns around…for 3…rolls around…NO GOOD! We are going to overtime. Now here’s a little Deja vu, Chalmers at the line, Heat down 1 and he misses the first and makes the second. Now the Wolves have 1.9 seconds to get a shot off to win.And once again  they go to Kevin Love, KL for the win…No good. We would go to double OT! 117-116 Heat in the lead now but Love wants some payback after missing two three’s to win it and Love steps back and knocks down a 3! But the Heat came right back, Chris Bosh drains a 3 and we are tied. Let’s skip ahead, still tied at 121 and Corey Brewer is fouled on the shot, he makes one of two and the Timberwolves have a one point lead! Now the Heat have one chance to win it, one more shot, Ray Allen, the desperation fling…NO GOOD! And the T-Wolves win 122-121.

  • PACERS BEAT HEAT IN THRILLER!

    PACERS BEAT HEAT IN THRILLER!

    Heat 48-21 at Pacers 51-20

Let’s begin, 4th quarter and Paul George drives and slams down a crazy dunk! That guy is such a good dunker, he has so much power. This was a very physical game, Lebron got a flagrant for an elbow to Roy Hibbert’s face and Lance Stephenson was ejected from the game with 5 minutes to play. Let’s skip ahead, under a minute remaining and David West knocks down a 3 to give the Pacers a 4-point lead! But, ensuing Miami possession, Chris Bosh drains a 3 and it’s a 1-point game. So the Heat have to foul to stop the clock, they end up fouling George Hill but Hill misses both free throws! That is huge now Miami has the ball, only down 1, and has 2.0 seconds which is plenty of time to get a shot off. Here we go, Miami gives it to Bosh and CB from 3…AIR BALL!? The buzzer beater misses everything and the Pacers win 84-83.

  • MAVS SHOCK THUNDER IN DALLAS

    MAVS SHOCK THUNDER IN DALLAS

    Thunder 52-18 at Mavericks 42-29

Let’s start, 1 minute and twenty seconds to play and Dirk Nowitzki working 0n his defender… and he gets the bank shot to go!, Mavs up 3. But ensuing Thunder possession, Derek Fisher drains a 3 for OKC and we are tied! Less than a minute to play , Thunder ball, shot clock running down and Kevin Durant fires from 3…GOOD! That gave the Thunder a 3-point lead! Now, Mavs ball, down 3 with 39.9 seconds to play…and Jose Calderon with KD in his face for 3…GOOD! WE ARE TIED AT 111! with less than 10 seconds to play now the Thunder with a chance to take the lead, they go to Russell Westbrook who takes the stepback J from the elbow…in and out! But the main thing here, there is still 1.8 seconds on the game clock so the mavs have a chance to win. They inbound it to Dirk and Dirk from near half-court…Close but NO! We are going to overtime. But in OT, the Mavericks just took control of this game, Calderon knocks down a 3 and the Mavs take the lead. Then Dirk, turnaround, fading away….SWISH! Then Nowitzki for 3…YES! And the Mavs go on to win it by a score of 128-119 in Overtime.
