  • TALK OF THE TOWN 11/2 NETS FEND OFF HEAT

    Heat 1-1 at Nets 0-1

    Let’s start, 1-0 Heat and the Net’s Paul Pierce  passes to Deron Williams drains the three and the Net’s take a 3-1 lead. 20-18 Nets now and Jason Terry sinks the 3 for the Nets, Nets up 23-18! 33-30 Nets now and Kevin Garnett swishes a long 2 o put the Nets up 5. 90-80 Nets now but the Heat making a comeback with 2 freethrows to cut the lead to 90-82.  But then Net’s Joe  Johnson drains a 3 and The nets are up 11. 96-88 Nets but Dwayne Wade sinks a 3 and the lead is down to 5. Then the Heat’s Mario Chalmers drains a 3 and that cuts the lead 2! 99-95 Nets, time running out for the Heat and Lebron James swishes a 3 and that cuts the lead to 1, however there was no time left to get that 1 point so the Nets escape 101-100! Lebron james had 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Paul Pierce had 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

  • TALK OF THE TOWN 10/30 HEAT BEAT BULLS ON OPENING NIGHT

    Opening night in the NBA, Heat taking on the Bulls. 7-2 Chicago and the 2011 MVP Derrick Rose drives and lays it in and the Bulls are up 9-2. 24-20 Heat now and the Heat’s Norris Cole drains the long 2 and the Heat are up 6! 31-20 Heat now and Heat ball, Lebron James passes downcourt to Dwayne Wade who goes up hard and gets fouled on the made shot, Wade would make the free throw. 34-20 Miami now and Norris Cole passes downcourt to Lebron James who drives baseline spins and makes the fader and the Heat are up 36-20! 39-20 Maimi now and Lebron drives and makes the fast break layup, Heat up 41-20! 52-33 Heat now and Lebron throws the alley oop to Chris Andersen who slams it down hard! And the Heat are up 21! 76-58 Miami now and Lebron passes to Anderson and Anderson throws down a dunk and the Heat are up 20! 85-67 Heat and Dwayne Wade drives and makes a circus shot and the Heat go on to win 107-95!

  • TALK OF THE TOWN 10/26: NETS CRUSH HEAT (NBA PRESEASON)

    Nets 4-2 at Heat 5-2

    Let’s start, 1st quarter, 16-15 Heat and the Heat’s Dwyane Wade goes up for a 2-pointer and makes it so the Heat are up 3! 24-23 Heat now and Micheal Beasley goes up hard for Miami and lays it in and the Heat are up 26-23! But then next play the Nets’ Deron Williams hits a runner and drains it, Spurs only down 1! 59-46 Nets now and Joe Johnson drains the 3! The Nets are up 74-52 and Johnson swishes another 3! Nets go on to win 108-87!

  • TALK OF THE TOWN 10/24: BULLS ESCAPE THUNDER IN PRESEASON

    Bulls 6-0 at Thunder 4-2

    Let’s start, 36-33 Bulls and Bulls PG Derrick Rose splits two defenders and lays it on the glass for the easy two and the Bulls are up 38-33. 49-35 Bulls now but the Thunder are coming back, Thunder player Reggie Jackson passes to KD, Kevin Durrant  who sinks the three and that cuts the lead to 11. 60-54 Bulls now and D-Rose makes a crazy lay-in and the Bulls lead is up to 8! 78-78 now and Kevin Durrant sinks the  15 footer and the Thunder take the lead! But then D-Rose sinks a three and the Bulls go on to win 104-95! Rose had 26 points, including being 10 for 10 from the charity stripe, Rose also had 6 assists. KD had 22 points 5 assists.

  • TALK OF THE TOWN JULY 19: SUMMER LEAGUE (LAKERS-BUCKS)

    Let’s start 2nd quarter, 27-25 Bucks and Robert Sacre gets the board and then lays it in for the Lakers, that ties the game at 27. Less then 10 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, tied at 52 and Marcus Landry sinks the mid-range jumper to put the Lakers in the lead! 4th quarter, 56-54 Bucks and  Josh Selby drains the 3! That puts the Lakers up 1! Late 4th quarter, 66-66 Sacre, turnaround, lays it in, AND 1! Lakers go on to win 72-68

  • TALK OF THE TOWN: JUNE 21: NBA FINALS (HEAT vs SPURS) GAME 7

    Winner takes all. This is a game 7. I did do #heatwin on twitter.

    Defending NBA champion has never lost Finals Game 7 at home (6-0)

    Spurs: 4-0 following a loss this postseason

    Heat alternated wins and losses over last 13 games

    Let’s start 27-27, 2nd quarter Lebron steals the ball from Tony Parker takes it back the other way and finishes with the and 1! 4th quarter now, 79-75 Heat and Wade, long 2 falls. That puts the Heat up 81-75. 81-77 Heat now, Lebron from the corner for 2…good! That bucket put the Heat up 83-77. 83-79 Heat now, Lebron long 2…good! That makes it 85-77. 85-79 now, Manu Ginobili for 3! That cuts the lead to 3!  Still 85-82 now Shane Battier for 3! Heat back up  6! But then Tim Duncan…AND 1! 88-85 Heat after the free throw. Same score now, Wade cuts Battier passes to him and D-WADE lays it in! Heat up 90-85. But then, same score, Kawhi Leonard for 3!!!! YES! That makes the Heat’s lead 90-88. Same score, less then a minute left in the game and Tim Duncan baby hook…no! Heat rebound. Lebron James for 2! 92-88 Heat! Spurs coming down to try and cut the lead and Tim Duncan misses the layup! And the Heat win the NBA Finals. Lebron is the MVP!

  • TALK OF THE TOWN JUNE 19: NBA FINALS (SPURS VS HEAT) GAME 6

    Spurs lead series 3-2 prior to this one so if the Spurs win they are NBA Champions!

    Let’s start 2nd quarter, 44-44 and Tim Duncan gets past Bosh and finishes with the slam! Duncan had 25 Pts (11-13 FG) in the first half. 4th quarter now, 75-70 Spurs and Tiago Splitter lays it in to make it 77-70!  82-80 Spurs now and Lebron… pump fake, then shoots for 2 and it’s good! Game tied at 82. Same score now and Ray Allen…reverse lay-in is good so the Heat take the lead! 84-82 HEAT! 89-86 Heat now but Tony Parker for 3…YES! Game tied at 89! Same score now, less then a minute left in the game and Parker spins and lays it in! Spurs up 91-89! Less then 30 seconds left, Spurs up 5 and Lebron for 3…YES! That cut the lead to 2 and makes the score 94-92 Spurs in the lead. 95-92, season hanging in the balance for the Heat, Spurs 10 seconds away from being NBA champs, Heat 10 seconds away from being eliminated. Lebron for 3…no Bosh gets the board kicks it back out to Ray Allen who drains the 3!! Game tied at 95! One final chance to win in regulation for the Spurs and Parker air balls it. SO WE’RE GOING TO OVERTIME! 97-97 now in OT, Kawhi Leonard lays it in, Spurs up 99-97! 100-99 Spurs now, Lebron for 2…yes! Heat up 101-100. Spurs ball, less then 10 seconds left, Spurs down by 1, Ginobli drives but Ray Allen steals it! Allen makes the free throws from the intentional foul so it’s 103-100 Heat, with 1.9 seconds left Green goes up for 3…GET THAT OUTTA MY HOUSE! Bosh rejects Green and the Heat win 103-100 to force a game 7!
