The suspended are Texas Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz, Detroit Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta, San Diego Padres shortstop Everth Cabrera, Seattle Mariners catcher Jesus Montero, New York Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli, Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Antonio Bastardo and New York Mets utility man Jordany Valdespin began serving their suspensions Monday. Also among the suspended were minor-league players Fernando Martinez, Cesar Puello and Sergio Escalona. Free agents Jordan Norberto and Fautino de los Santos also were suspended. All received 50-game suspensions… Except for one, Alex Rodreguiz recieved a 211-game ban starting tomorrow (my blogs 1 year anniversary!) the 211 games will suspend him all through this year and next. Ryan Braun was handed a 65-game suspension a few weeks ago. Rodreguiz will likely fight the ban.

Dodgers at Cardinals

Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw was the July NL Player of the month. He was 4-1 with a 1.34 ERA. Let’s start bottom 4th, 0-0, Allen Craig lines out to Kershaw, who throws it to first to get the double play! Bottom 5th, 0-0 and Tony Cruz hits an RBI Single to center and the Cards are up 1-zip! Bottom 8th, 2-1 and Carlos Beltran blasts a homer to right, 410 feet! That put the Cards up 3-1, They would win, 4-1.

Yankees at White Sox

Let’s start, Top 2nd, 2-0 White Sox and A-Rod singles to left! Bottom 2nd, 5-0 White Sox and Adam Dunn hits it to 3rd, A-Rod makes a great play and throws out Dunn! It wasn’t all great for A-rod though, Top 8th, 8-1 Sox and Matt Lindstrom strikes out A-Rod!  The White Sox would win 8-1.

Let’s start Top 5th, 1-0 Royals and David Lough hits a fly ball to right and he’s out, right? WRONG! Marlon Byrd loses it in the sun and he drops it, Lough gets a double! 2-0 now and Lorenzo Cain singles to right, 2 runs score, that makes it 4-0, Royals go on to win 6-2!
