    Let’s start top 2nd, 2-0 Pirates, bases loaded, runners on 1st and 2nd and Andy Oliver hits a RBI single to left and that makes it 3-zip Pirates! Top 8th, 3-1 Pirates and Pedro Alvarez blasts a solo shot to left to put the Pirates up 4-1! 2 batters later Gaby Sanchez hits a RBI double to right center, that eould put the Pirares up 5-1 that would go on to be the  final score!

    Let’s start, bottom 2nd, 1-0 Rays and Matt Moore pitching and he strikes out Ryan Lavarnway! Bottom 3rd now and Moore strikes out Brandon Snyder! Bottom 8th now, 2-0 Rays now and Moore gets Snyder to ground out!Top 9th and Desmond Jennings hits a sac fly and the run scores so it’s 3-0 Rays! Bottom 9th, Moore has never thrown a no-hitter in his life and he waits 26 minutes and 50 seconds before he throws this pitch and he gets Shane Victorino to ground out to 3rd and the Rays win 3-0!

    Let’s start bottom 3rd, 3-1 Yankees 2 on for the Sox and Mike Napoli blasts a 3-run homer to center and the Red Sox are up 4-3! Top 7th, 7-5 Red Sox and Chris Stewart lays down the bunt, and the 3rd baseman makes a terrible throw run scores for the Yanks!  We would go to extra-innings 7-7 and Mike Napoli blasts a solo shot to center to win the game and the Red Sox win 8-7!

    Let’s start, Top 6th, 1-1 and Luke Scott blasts a 2-run homer to put the Rays up 2-1!  Bottom 9th, 4-1 Rays but Jose Reyes hits a double to center field, that drives in 2 runs to cut the lead to 1! Then Fernando Rodney comes in for the save, gets the final batter to ground out and the Rays win 4-3!

Bottom 9th, 5-2, 2 strikes, 2 outs, and Mariano Ribvera strikes out Jarrod Saltalamacchia and the Yankees win 5-2!

    Let’s start bottom 1st, 0-0 and Jacoby Ellsbury blasts it to right, his first home run off a left handed pitcher since September 27, 2011! That puts the Sox up 1-0. Bottom 2nd, same score and Johnny Gomes hits a 2-run homer over the green monster and the Red Sox are up 3-0! Top 5th now and Brett Gardner get struck out looking, Gardner thinks it’s a ball, he throws his helmet on the ground in frustration, Red Sox go on to win 4-2.

  • TALK OF THE TOWN JULY 18: RIVERA RECEIVES STANDING OVATION (ALL-STAR GAME)

    Let’s start 1st pitch of the game and Mike Trout rips it down the right field line for a double! Next batter, Matt Harvey, the pitcher has hit 1 batter with a pitch all year and in the all-star game he hits Robinson Cano with the pitch so runners on 1st and 2nd for the AL however next batter and Harvey strikes out Miguel Cabrera! 2 batters later, 2 outs and Harvey strikes out Jose Bautista! Top 4th now and Chris Davis singles to right, Miguel Cabrera to 3rd, AL would score on a sac fly on the next batter. Well, we’ve talked about the NL pitching, what about the AL? Let’s start bottom 1st, Max Scherzer pitching for the AL and Scherzer strikes out Joey Votto! bottom 2nd, Chris Sale pitching for the Al and he strikes out Carlos Gonzalez. Bottom 4th, 1-0 AL, Felix Hernandez pitching and he gets David Wright to ground out to 3rd! Bottom 7th, 2-0 Al, Paul Goldschmidt batting for the NL, he hits it to 3rd and Manny Machado great fielding, spins around, throws a bullet to first to get the out! Okay, Mariano Rivera in his 13th all-star game, comes out in the 8th inning and he is on the field alone as a sign of respect he recieves a standing ovation from the crowd and then, he’s got to pitch! Bottom 8th, 3-0 AL, Jean Segura is the 1st victim, he grounds out to 2nd! Next batter, Allen Craig lines out to left! Next batter, Carlos Gomez and he grounds out to shortstop! A 1-2-3 inning for Mariano Rivera and Rivera was named the MVP!

  • TALK OF THE TOWN JULY 17: Yoenis Cespedes wins HR Derby (HR Derby)

    Every player gets 10 outs and tries to hit as many HR’s as they can. An out is any non-home run swing. After the 1st round (8 players) the 4 with the least home runs are eliminated. In the 2nd round the 2 with the least number of home runs from the 1st and 2nd round combined are eliminated. In  the final round the player with the least HR’s IN THE FINAL ROUND ONLY

    Let’s start 1st round, Prince Fielder batting no outs 1 home run for him so far and he jacks the next one 483 feet for the HR, Fielder was eliminated after the first round with a score of 5 home runs. Still first round, Yoenis Cespedes batting, 2 outs, 2 home runs for him so far and he blasts a homer 447 feet for the home run and nearly hits the Chevy car (if you hit it you win a new car). Cespedes still up in the first round, 4 outs, 7 HR’s so far and he hits it 436 feet that is his 8th HR of the round alone. Cespedes still up in the first round, 5 outs, 12 home runs and he hits it 456 feet for another home run! Cespedes ends up advancing and hitting 17 homers in round 1 alone. Chris Davis up now, 5 outs, 6 homers and Davis blasts the ball into center field, 416 feet. Davis would survive to the 2nd round by hitting 8 homers  total. Bryce Harper up now, his first swing he hits it 455 feet for the homer! Then, 6 outs, 6 homers for Bryce and he blasts it 471 feet, yep 471! Harper advanced to the next round by hitting 8. Still 1st round, David Wright up, he has 5 outs and 3 homers so far and he blasts it to left, 394 feet! Wright was eliminated after the first round with only 5 home runs. 2nd round now, Chris Davis 4 Hr (in 2nd round only) 9 outs and 12 homers total and he just hits a grounder which counts as an out and he was eliminated after the 2nd round with 4 home runs in the 2nd round and 12 homers total. Bryce Harper up now, 5 homers in this round, 5 outs, and 13 homers total and it bounces off the foul pole into fair territory then, Harper 6 homers in this round alone, 6 outs, 14 total homers and Harper blasts it center, however it doesn’t go over the wall so it is an out. Harper still up, 7 homers in this round, 7 outs, 15 total homers and Harper blasts it to center and Harper goes to the final round with a score of 8 homers in round 2 and 16 total. Final round now, Bryce Harper up 7 outs, 6 home runs and he goes yard! 7 outs, 7 homers for Harper now and he blasts it 381 feet! Cespedes up now, he needs 9 homers to win. 5 outs, 7 homers do far in this round and he blasts it to left! That ties it! 5 outs, 8 homers for him and hits it 455 feet to win it! Harper ends the round with 8, Cespedes hit 1 more in only 5 outs! Yoenis Cespedes is your winner.
