    SERENA WILLIAMS FALLS IN SECOND ROUND AT ROLAN GARROS

    Less than 24 hours after #2 women’s tennis player Li Na fell in the first round at Rolan Garros #1 tennis player Serena Williams lost to Spaniard No. 35 Garbine Muguruza in the second round of the French Open on Wednsday. “Of course it’s amazing, I did not expect that. Today is a great day,” said Muguruza. “I’m very happy,–She (Serena) said that if I continue playing like this, I can win the tournament. I said, I will try, I will try,” The 20-year old won 6-2, 6-2 after 64 minutes of play.

    Serena’s sister (No. 29 Venus Williams) lost to No. 59 Anna Schmiedlaova 6-2, 3-6, 4-6 earlier today.

    Li Na, 2014 Australian Open winner and No. 2 women’s tennis player in the world (per the WTA) lost in the first round of the French Open to up-and-coming youngster No. 103 Kristina Mladenovic. “The problem is myself,” Li said. “I don’t think I’m doing well on the court. And also, even during the match, I don’t think totally [about] what I should do, like especially I didn’t follow the game plan. … In my mind, I didn’t have any idea how to play the match.” This came just 24 hours after the Men’s Aussie open winner, Stan Wawrinka lost in the 1st round which makes the first time EVER that both Australian Open winners lost in the first round of the French Open.

       Mladenovic won the match 7-5, 3-6, 6-1. “This is really big,” she said. “You don’t beat Li Na every day.” “I gave it away,” Li said. Mladenovic next plays American Alison Riske, who defeated Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 7-6 (2), 6-3.

Then Wawrinka’s shot is wide, a point for Nadal, it’s 4-3 Wawrinka The Wawrinka hits a nice shot that Nadal can’t get too and it’s 5-3 Wawrinka! 1 more game and he wins the match!     Let’s start 2nd set, score 3-6, 5-2 for Venus and she gets the ace to give her the advantage in the duece. Later in the 2nd, same score and Venus serving for the set on her  2nd try and she Backhands it Zheng would then forehand it into the net and Venus wins the set! 3rd set now 3-6, 6-2, 2-4 for Venus and she forehands it to Zheng but she can’t get to Zheng’s return quick enough and Zheng wins that game. 3-6, 5-2, 5-4 now for Venus and she ties it up at 5 with a cross court shot. Same score now and Venus hits it out of the boundries, that’s a point for Zheng and Venus is down 3-6,6-2, 6-5. Same score now and Zheng hits it out so we go to a tiebreak. In the tiebreak now 4-4, the 2 ladies going back-and-forth and then Venus hits it a little long and Zheng goes up 5-4 in the tiebreaker. Match point now for Zheng, Venus just runs out of gas and Zheng wins the match and will advance! Zheng wins 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 on a tiebreaker score of 7-5. Venus hasn’t advanced past the second round since 2010.

    Let’s start 3rd set, the score 5-7, 6-4, 5-3 in favor of Duval, match point for her, but Stoser gonna hit a crosscourt forehand shot that will give Samantha the game. Next game, 5-7, 6-4, 5-4 obviously now and Match point #2 for Duval and she serves but Stoser is going to hit it to a  place where Duval just can’t get to it and Stoser escapes the match-point. 2 points later, Match point #3, same score and Duval saves herself but then hits it wide right so that is not in bounds and Stoser gets the point. Is the win slipping away? But on Match point #4 Duval and Stoser volley back-and-forth until Duval hits a forehand winner and Victoria Duval! upsets the #11 seed Stoser she will move on to the next round after the match she thanked coaches, family, friends, and fans. It was Duval’s 1st career grand slam match win
