    The Pick: Maryland

    #12 Florida (24-6) @ Vanderbilt (16-14) – 2PM ET, ESPN

    The Pick: Florida

    #19Notre Dame (23-7) @ #8Louisville (23-7) – 2PM ET, CBS

Notre Dame would secure the #2 seed in the ACC tournament with a win here, and Louisville would move into a tie for second in the standings with a win, but their seed would depend on tiebreakers. On the flip side, both of these teams could drop out of the top four in the ACC with a loss, which would lose the coveted double bye in the ACC tournament. In my most recent top 25 (Thursday) I had Notre Dame 11 spots behind the Cards, but Notre Dame has momentum on their side. On Wednesday the Fighting Irish blew out Boston College while Louisville dropped a road game to Wake Forest. However, in that game Louisville star Donavan Mitchell had a poor shooting night, and on Senior Night, I expect him to have a rebound game and lead Louisville to a win.

    The Pick: Louisville

    Seton Hall (19-10) @ #13Butler (23-6) – 2:30PM ET

    The Pick: Butler

    Creighton (23-7) @ Marquette (18-11) – 2:30PM ET

    #11Baylor (24-6) @ Texas (10-20) – 4PM ET, ESPN

    The Pick: Baylor

    #25Miami (20-9) @ #15Florida State (23-7) – 4PM ET, ACC Network

    The Pick: Florida State

    Wake Forest (17-12) @ Virginia Tech (21-8) – 4:30PM ET, ACC Network

    The Pick: Virginia Tech

    #1Kansas (27-3) @ Oklahoma State (20-10) – 6PM ET, ESPN

Kansas is riding high right now. The Jayhawks locked up the Big 12 #1 seed a week ago, are currently ranked #1 in the country, and in my latest bracketology, are the country’s #1 overall seed. Both teams are coming off disappointing performances. Kansas almost blew it against Big 12 bottom-feeder Oklahoma, but eventually came away with a win. As for Oklahoma State, the Cowboys had their five game winning streak snapped in a close lose to Iowa State. The Cowboys should be a safe bet to make the NCAA tournament though, they are currently a seven seed in my bracketology, and I see them as a lock, even if they were to lose out. This will be a tough road test for Kansas to end the regular season, as Oklahoma State is 11-4 at home this year, but I see Frank Mason leading the Jayhawks to a win, and locking them up as at least a 1 seed, with the #1 overall seed in sight.

    The Pick: Kansas

    #17Duke (23-7) @ #5North Carolina (25-6) – 8:15PM ET, ESPN

North Carolina has already locked up the #1 seed in the ACC Tournament, but the Heels are fresh off of a road win at Virginia where Justin Jackson and company could not get anything going offensively. As for Duke, the Blue Devils could finish anywhere between third and seventh in the ACC Tourney depending on how this and other games go, and after defeating Florida State 75-70 earlier this week, a win here for Duke will secure a double-bye in Brooklyn. This game doesn’t only matter for Duke though, Carolina is currently a one seed in the NCAA tournament, and will be looking to hold on to that, as well as get revenge on their biggest rivals for a loss in Durham earlier this year. In that game Grayson Allen went off for 25 points while Carolina shot just 4 for 12 from three. This game is always big, it’s the biggest rivalry in basketball, but in Chapel Hill, with the Tar Heels celebrating Senior Night, I’ve got to give it to UNC.

    The Pick: North Carolina

    South Carolina (22-8) @ Ole Miss (18-12) – 8:30PM ET, SEC Network

    The Pick: South Carolina

COLLEGE BASKETBALL WEEKDAY PICKS – CHECK BACK EACH DAY FOR NEW PICKS

    Monday 2/27

    #5North Carolina (25-5) @ #23Virginia (19-9) – 7PM ET, ESPN

These teams seemingly just played each other, under ten days ago the ‘Hoos traveled down to Chapel Hill and got clubbed, 65-41. Now, Carolina makes the return trip back up to Charlottesville to face a Virginia team that shot 69% from three on Saturday against NC State. Virginia has been great on defense this year, especially at home, so I would expect a low scoring game, but UNC’s offense is heads and above better than Virginia’s, and while it will be closer than the first game, Virginia just won’t be able to score enough points, and North Carolina will secure the ACC Tournament #1 seed.

    The Pick: North Carolina

    #10West Virginia (23-6) @ #11Baylor (23-6) – 7PM ET, ESPNU

Much like Virginia-UNC, this game was not close the first time these two played, but now the game’s location is flipped. Baylor lost to West Virginia 89-68 earlier this year, turning the ball over nearly thirty times to West Virginia’s press defense. All signs point to Baylor losing this game, the Bears have lost three of four, but West Virginia will be without a key part of their press, as sophmore forward Esa Ahmad is out with a back injury. Baylor should lose this game, but it’s senior night, and teams always play with emotion on senior night, I’ve got Baylor pulling an upset.

    The Pick: Baylor

    Oklahoma (10-18) @ #1Kansas (26-3) – 9PM ET, ESPN

    The Pick: Kansas

    #25Miami (20-8) @ Virginia Tech (20-8) – 9PM ET, ESPN2

    The Pick: Virginia Tech

    Tuesday 2/28

    Georgetown (14-15) @Seton Hall (18-10) – 6:30PM ET, FS1

    The Pick: Seton Hall

    Mississippi State (14-14) @ South Carolina (21-8) – 7PM ET, SEC Network

    The Pick: South Carolina

    Indiana (16-13) @ #16Purdue (23-6) – 7PM ET, ESPN2

    The Pick: Purdue

    #15Florida State (23-6) @ #17Duke (22-7) – 7PM ET, ESPN

Just when it seemed like the Blue Devils were rebounding from their January slump, Duke lost two heartbreakers in back to back road losses to Miami and Syracuse. They return to Durham for their final home game of the season. If Duke loses this game, they can probably get ready to be playing next Wednesday in Brooklyn, because another loss would mean a top-4 slot is probably out of the question. This game is tough to call because Grayson Allen and Amile Jefferson are game-time decisions, but Florida State is 3-5 on the road this year, and I’ll assume Allen and Jefferson are playing, so I’ve got Duke keeping their hopes alive going into Saturday.

    The Pick: Duke

    St. John’s (13-16) @ Creighton (22-7) – 8PM ET, CBS Sports Network

    The Pick: Creighton

    Ohio State (16-13) @ Penn State (14-15) – 8:30PM ET, BTN

    The Pick: Penn State

    Pittsburgh (15-14) @ Georgia Tech (16-13) – 9PM ET, ESPNU

    The Pick: Georgia Tech

    Vanderbilt (16-13) @ #9Kentucky (24-5) – 9PM ET, ESPN

    The Pick: Kentucky

    Oklahoma State (20-9) @ #24Iowa State (19-9) – 9PM ET, ESPN2

These two teams have changed a lot since January, when they first played in an 96-86 road win for Iowa State, and they are now a lot more evenly matched, both are at 7 seeds right now in my latest bracketology and both have won five in a row, meaning one of those winning streaks is coming to an end Tuesday night. This game should be close and go down to the wire, but in front of a home crowd on senior night, and fresh off of a season-defining win over Baylor, Iowa State’s defense will be able to slow down Jawun Evans, and pick up six in a row.

    The Pick: Iowa State

    #13Florida (23-5) @ #11Kentucky (23-5) – 2PM ET, CBS

This is Kentucky’s revenge game, the Wildcats got blown out by Florida on February 4th in an 88-66 beatdown, in that game Kentucky shot just 37.7%, and if UK does that again, they will lose that game too. Both teams are undefeated since that Feburary 4th game, but Florida did take a big loss in the form of an injury to 6’11” center John Egbunu, who will miss the rest of the year with the dreaded ACL tear. The key for Kentucky is getting freshman guard Malik Monk involved.  Monk has scored under his season average in the past four games, but I trust Calipari to be able to integrate him into the offense, and I expect Kentucky to get payback on their home court.

    The Pick: Kentucky

    Penn State (14-4) @ Minnesota (21-7) – 3PM ET, BTN

    The Pick: Minnesota

    #23Creighton (22-6) @ #2Villanova (26-3) – 3PM ET, FS1

Villanova lost it’s first home game in forever on Wednesday, in a 74-66 loss to Butler. Creighton also lost at home on Wednesday, in a 68-66 loss to a Providence team that is on the edge of the bubble. Both teams will try to avoid losing two in a row, and in Creighton’s case, falling out of the top 25. Creighton was a top 10 team earlier this year, but ever since Maurice Watson was ruled out for the ywar with an ACL tear, the Bluejays have lost more games than they’ve won. Creighton is a good team, but without Watson they just don’t have the talent level to hang with potential #1 overall seed Villanova, and they will end up losing their sixth game in the past ten.

    The Pick: Villanova

    Mississippi State (14-13) @ Vanderbilt (15-13) – 4PM ET, ESPNU

    The Pick: Vanderbilt

    #6Oregon (25-4) @ Stanford (14-13) – 4PM ET, Pac 12 Network

    The Pick: Purdue

    #10Duke (22-6) @ Miami (19-8) – 4PM ET, CBS

Miami, fresh off of a road overtime win over Virginia, attempts to get their second top-20 win of the week against a Duke team that looks to avoid losing it’s second straight game. Miami lost on the road against Duke in the first meeting between these teams, in a 70-58 loss back in January, and while this one is in Coral Gables, I’ve got Duke rebounding and getting the series sweep over the Hurricanes. Miami does not have the offensive firepower to respond to the runs that Duke’s offense can go on, and that offense will carry Duke to a win.

    The Pick: Duke

    #9Baylor (23-5) @ Iowa State (18-9) – 4PM ET, ESPN

Baylor and Iowa State are tied for second in the Big 12, so this will be a big game for seeding in the Big 12 tournament. Baylor lost two games last week before picking up a win over Oklahoma on Tuesday. Iowa State has really flown under the radar this year, but is a quality team, led by Monte Morris, the Cyclones have slowly climbed their way up the seed lines, and right now are sitting at a 7 or 8, but a win here would obviously improve that. This game will be at Iowa State, and Baylor has been really struggling lately, their only win in the past two weeks came against a 9-18 Oklahoma team by just six points, and I see their woes continuing, and Iowa State improving to 19-9.

    The Pick: Iowa State

    The Pick: Indiana

    #5UCLA (25-3) @ #4Arizona (26-3) – 8:15PM ET, ESPN

A win here for Arizona might effectively lock up the Pac-12 title race, while UCLA needs a win here to even have a chance at the 2 seed in the Pac-12 tournament. College Gameday will be in Tuscon for this one, as UCLA’s #2 ranked offense (and #102 ranked defense) will take on potential 1 seed Arizona. While I have confidence in Arizona’s defense to slow down UCLA, I’m a little worried if Arizona will be able to keep up the pace with the Bruins, and if UCLA’s defense can somehow get stops, they will win, but on the road, against an Arizona team that hasn’t lost at home since January of last year, I think Sean Miller’s Wildcats will find a win to sneak out with a win.

    The Pick: Arizona

Barring a late-season collapse, Villanova will be the #1 overall seed when the selection committee’s bracket is released two weeks from Sunday. The Wildcats have only lost two games this year, one of those two losses was on the road against Butler, so this is a revenge game for ‘Nova. Butler is also a lock to make the tournament, but a second win over Villanova would certainly boost their seed. Butler is capable of doing that, but Nova will have this one at home, and Josh Hart (18.8 points) will lead them to a victory.

    The Pick: Villanova

    #7Louisville (22-5) @ #8North Carolina (23-5) – 9PM ET, ESPN

This game might determine who gets the one seed in this year’s ACC Tournament. The two teams are currently tied, one game ahead of anyone else in the conference, these teams are ranked seventh and eighth in the polls, fifth and sixth in Kenpom, the point is, they’re pretty evenly matched. Louisville has won six of their last seven, and Carolina has won four of their last five, including a murder of Virginia on Saturday. This game will come down to North Carolina’s great offense against Louisville’s great defense, and we saw how Carolina dealt with Virginia’s defense, I expect the Heels to do the same to Louisville here.

The biggest game of a big weekend will take place early on Saturday in the Big 12, as two potential #1 seeds go head to head. Baylor is the only team with even a chance to break Kansas’ streak of eleven straight Big 12 regular season championships, but to do so, they will need a victory here. The first meeting between these two teams ended with a 73-68 win for Kansas, but that game was in Allen Fieldhouse, now, Kansas will be on the road. To add to that, Baylor will come out playing angry after being upset by Texas Tech earlier this week, and I expect Jonathan Motley to lead the Bears to a win.

    #14Virginia (18-7) @ #10North Carolina (22-5) – 8:15PM ET, ESPN

The 100th College Gameday will be in Chapel Hill for an ACC showdown between Virginia and UNC. For Virginia, this will be the third game this week, and the Wahoos are 0-2 so far in those games. Virginia lost to Virginia Tech in 2OT on Sunday in a game they should’ve won, and against Duke, Virginia just could not get anything going inside. I see the Cavaliers losing streak continuing, as they will have to play on the road against a red hot Tar Heels team that has scored 79 points in each of their last two games.

    The Pick: North Carolina

    #21South Carolina (20-6) @ Vanderbilt (13-13) – 8:30PM ET, SEC Network

    Sunday 2/19

    #23Maryland (22-4) @ #11Wisconsin (21-5) – 1PM ET, CBS

This is a big one in the Big Ten, as the winner of this game will take first place in the Big Ten, while the loser will fall to third. Maryland has rebounded after losing two straight, and Wisconsin could be without guard Bronson Koenig for this one, he is listed as questionable. The key to this one for Wisconsin, especially if Koenig is out, is to defend the three ball, which has been Maryland’s go to scoring all year long. As long as they can defend that three, the Badgers should be able to dominate inside, and in front of a home crowd, I’ve got Wisconsin taking a win.

    The Pick: Wisconsin
