Clayton Kershaw won the NL Cy Young for the third time in his career on Wednesday, he also won in 2011 and 2013. Kershaw was 21-3 with a 1.77 ERA to lead the Dodgers to their 2nd straight NL West title. The stud Los Angeles pitcher also threw 239 strikeouts and a no-hitter against the Rockies on June 18th. Kershaw received all 30 first-place votes. Johnny Cueto finished 2nd and Adam Wainwright finished 3rd. “You sit back and I try to think about where I was five years ago, where I was six years ago just starting out. If you would have told me I was in that kind of company, I would have laughed at you,” Kershaw said. “I never would have thought something like this could have happened. It’s overwhelming, it really is.”
