    WESTBROOK NOTCHES 4TH STRAIGHT TRIPLE-DOUBLE

Russell Westbrook wore a mask, and still had one of the best performances of the NBA season. Westbrook had 49 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in overtime 123-118. “It’s definitely a blessing,” Westbrook said, “but more importantly, I think it’s important that we’re winning.” Westbrook is the first player to have 4 straight triple-doubles since 1989 when Michael Jordan had 7.

    WARRIORS RACE PAST SPURS

Before Friday nights game Steve Kerr told his team that the San Antonio Spurs were their “measuring stick” and the “gold standard” of basketball. The Warriors may have past the end of that stick. Curry had a double double with 25 pints and 11 assists and Klay Thompson added on 20 as the Warriors, wearing their Chinese new year uniforms defeated San Antonio 110-99 in a game that was even more of a blowout than the score suggests.

    POPOVICH’S 1000TH WIN

1000 wins for Greg Popovich, all with the San Antonio Pops has a built a dynasty in San Antonio winning multiple championship with the club. Jerry Sloan is the only other coach to reach that mark with one team.”I’ve been here a long time and I’ve had good players. That’s the formula,” Popovich said. “Getting the players is difficult, but I’ve been fortunate to have good ones. The time, that’s the most important element. You have to be around for a while, I guess.”

  • CURRY NETS 51 AS WARRIORS RALLY FROM DOWN 22

CURRY NETS 51 AS WARRIORS RALLY FROM DOWN 22

10 3 pointers and a grand total of 51 points from all star Stephen Curry carried the Golden State Warriors as they rallied from down 22 to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 128-114. “Sometimes Steph plays his best when we’re down big, and he just senses that he has to put the Superman cape on,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “And he’s so good at it. He loves the freedom of being down and saying, ‘All right. I’m going to let it fly and bring us back.’ And that’s what he did.”

  • PELICANS END HAWKS WIN STREAK

    PELICANS END HAWKS WIN STREAK

After winning nineteen straight it seems like Paul Millsap didn’t seem too disappointing when the Atlanta Hawks finally lost, 110-115 thriller against the Pelicans, who were carried by Anthony Davis’ 29 points and 13 rebounds. “We’ve got a lot of season left,” Paul Millsap said  “Nineteen games, that’s good. We lost one — 19-1 now. So it’s just regrouping. … We can’t let one loss turn into two losses.”
