  • NFL OWNERS MEETING PREVIEW

    NFL OWNERS MEETING PREVIEW

THERE WILL BE 3 MAIN TOPICS AT THE OWNERS MEETING

    RULE CHANGES

    2015 Owners Meeting Rule Discussions
    Team Idea
Lions All penalties reviewable – possible
Titans/Redskins Personal fouls reviewable – probable
Patriots Allow coach’s challenge at all times – possible
Patriots Fixed camera on sidelines, goal lines and end lines – possible
Patriots PAT from 15-yard line – very probable
Colts 9-point play; TD, 2-point conversion, 50-yard extra point -extreme longshot
Bears Both teams get possession in OT – doubtful
General Timeout instead of challenge flag – doubtful
General Definition of a catch – probable
Bylaw Eliminate cutdown to 75; Direct cut to 53 – possible

These are all the proposed rule changes with me saying how possible each are.

    PLAYOFF EXPANSION

It has been discussed for awhile that the playoffs would be expanded to 14 teams and that some type of new reseeding. According to Chris Mortenson of ESPN, “One formula that will be discussed in the offseason is that in addition to first-round byes for the teams with the best record in the AFC and NFC, two divisional champions in each conference will get home games and the remaining eight teams will be seeded by win-loss record.”It is almost definite that the field will be expanded, the question is when? 2015-16, 2016-17 and if reseeding is real or just another rumor?

    NFL IN LA?

A few possible stadium plans are being discussed with Oakland, San Diego, and St. Louis as the main candidates to come to LA. This feels highly likely as Los Angeles, California is the 2nd biggest television market in the country.

  • THE SUPER BOWL

    THE SUPER BOWL

I’m not going to do a Super Bowl recap like I did last year because I’m assuming anyone who watches sports watched the game but I just want to quickly give my thoughts on that final play call. On 2nd and goal from the half-yard line Pete Caroll calls a pass. I was honestly cheering for the Pats but when that happened I instantly felt bad for any Seahawks fan, I mean your telling me that the best power running back in the league a guy whos nickname is BEAST MODE and just got 4 and a half yards on first down cant get a half a yard on three tries? C’mon man!

  • SUPER BOWL PREDICTION; PATS DEFLATE SEAHAWKS REPEAT BID

SUPER BOWL PREDICTION; PATS DEFLATE SEAHAWKS REPEAT BID

This is the first time in 3 years that I have NOT correctly predicted the two teams in the Super Bowl however I did predict the Seahawks to make their return.

This is one of the best Super Bowls of all time on paper.

    THE PICK IS IN!

    Patriots, 23 Seahawks 17

  • DEFLATEGATE

    DEFLATEGATE

So the NFL has found that the balls were deflated, 11 of the 12 to be exact and a whole 2 pounds per square inch. The Patriots look to be in trouble. I’ve went from nothing should happen to the Colts should be in the super bowl and back again. I have reached a conclusion Bill Belichick should be suspended for the Super Bowl, as well as anyone else found guilty of deflating the balls, including players.

  • NFL MOVING TO LA!

    NFL MOVING TO LA!

Rams owner Stan Kroenke has decided to build a stadium in Inglewood, California just outside of Los Angeles and he says he will move his franchise there with or without the NFL’s consent.

  • WAS IT PASS INTERFERENCE?

    WAS IT PASS INTERFERENCE?

The question on everyone’s mind. Should Anthony Hitchens have been penalized for defensive pass interference on third and one in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s playoff game vs. the Lions.Dallas-Detroit missed pass interference call-replay

The answer: yes, absolutely yes. No doubt about it, and not only should it have been DPI but it also should have been defensive holding, take a look at the image on the left. That is Holding.

One more thing, Dez Bryant is clearly on the field, arguing with a referee with his HELMET OFF. That should have been an immediate Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

The fact that none of these three calls were called worries me about the integrity of NFL officiating, the Head of Officials even agrees with me saying that.
