Let’s start with the Chargers on offense! 1st quarter, 7-0  Bears and Philip Rivers is sacked by Corey Wootton for a 9 yard loss! Very next play Rivers is intercepted by Chris Conte and the Bears take over! 3 minutes to go in the 1st quarter now, and Shea McClellin sacks Philip Rivers and the ball comes loose! Bears recover! Now let’s go to to some highlights with the Bears on offense. Let’s go back to earlier in the first, 0-0 and the Bears hand it off to Matt Forte and he’s gonna break a tackle and take it 58 yards to the San Diego 5-yard line. Next play, Jay Cutler finds Brandon Marshall in the end zone and the Bears are up 7-0! 2nd quarter, 14-0 Bears and Kyle Long  sets a nice block and Micheal Bush gets a nice 6 yard gain towards the end zone. Bears go on to win 33-28!

It’s here! (finally) FOOTBALL! Preseason Football is here! If you’re new to my website this is my specialty so I hope you all enjoy, but without further ado Let’s get to football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s start 13 minutes and change left in the 1st quarter, 2nd and 10 and Matt Ryan takes the snap, drops back and fires to Harry Douglas who will catch it and take it 42 yards to the Cincinnati 24 for a Falcons 1st down! 3-zip Atlanta now, 4 minutes left in the 4th and Matt Ryan guns it downfield to  Drew Davis, 31 yard gain and another Falcons first down! Let’s go back to the 1st quarter, 14 minutes left, 0-0 and James Harrison making his Bengals debut after years with the Steelers and he goes in and stuffs Falcons running back Steven Jackson for no gain! He just went in there and destroyed Jackson. 1st quarter, 3-0 Falcons and Bengals QB Andy Dalton makes a nice pass to  Jermaine Gresham for a first down, Later in the first Dalton throws quickly to Bengals draft pick Tyler Eifiert for a nice gain. 4th quarter, 34-10 Bengals, 5:07 left, Bengals ball and Daniel Herron rushes for a 4 yard gain but what’s important is who tackled him, Brian Banks who was sent to prison for over 5 years for something he didn’t do. He says it was a dream come true to play preseason football.

SWIMMING AND DIVING

 Matt McLean won a gold medal as part of the U.S. men’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay. The U.S. finished with a time of  7:01.7, ahead of Russia (7:03.92) and China (7:04.74) to  claim gold.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Rachel Pierson (Princeton, N.J.) and Marie-Ambroisine Faure (France) have singed letter’s of intent and Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) has transferred to Virginia from the University of Florida. Theses 3 student-athletes will all participate in the UVa Women’s Tennis program.

Aaron Hernandez was cuffed and escorted out of his home as the Patriots star TE was cut from the Pats. Hernandez will most likely plead not guilty of all charges. According to the prosecutor Hernandez shot Odin Lloyd 5 times and it will be hard for Hernandez to win the case because the night after Lloyd was killed (wether it was Hernandez or not Lloyd was murdered) Hernandez was seen on camera carrying a gun as you see in the picture below by TMZ

for people who want to know the handgun that Hernandez is holding is a Glock. The next piece of evidence is that in the rental car that Hernandez drove in with Lloyd and 3 other people that night there was a shell-casing of the same type of caliber that killed Lloyd. However the police searched Hernandez’s home and found guns but not the murder weapon, however the did find .45 caliber ammunition which would have came from the gun that killed Lloyd. After leaving the bar on Sunday Lloyd texted his sister to ask if she had seen who he was with, when she asked who, he replied, “NFL,” followed quickly by, “Just so you know.” Hernandez had texted Lloyd to come to his house so Hernandez could pick him up. When Hernandez asked for bail the judge said no so  Hernandez will just be sitting in a cell until his next court day. But the thing is we could know much more but Hernandez’s attorney asked for a gag which means the witnesses and lawyers cannot tell the public anything. Now back to the guns found in Hernandez’s home the murder weapon is missing but the police found 2 other guns one of which is illegal in the state of Massachusetts. The illeagal weapon is a large capacity firearm ( a gun with more then 10 bullets in the magazine) which as I said is illegal in Massachusetts which is where Hernandez lives. The other gun found is a .22 handgun.

Odin Lloyd may have known about Hernandez’s role in the double murder of Daniel Abreu, 29, and Safiro Furtado, 28. Police are investigating as I  type.
