THE 3 QB’S THAT WERE THE MOST UNDERRATED AT THE START OF THE YEAR

#3 – Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins

Before the season Kirk Cousins was someone battling for the starting against RG3, someone that has gotten injured approximately 135 Quintilian times. Now, the former 5th rounder is a strong candidate for the franchise tag. He lead the Redskins to their first playoff berth in 3 or 4 years.

#2 – Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills

Before the year began Tyrod Taylor was a free agent and later the third string quarterback for the Bills.  Now, he has been named Sports Illustrated’s surprise player of 2015. While Buffalo missed the playoffs, Tyrod Taylor was named a Pro Bowl quarterback.

#1 – Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals

Two knee surgeries, no playoff wins in his career in 3 chances. But was there ever any question that Carson Palmer was going to be #1. He led the Cardinals to a exciting year in 2014 but it all came crashing down after a knee surgery from a decade ago popped up again, putting an end to his season. This year he came back with a vengeance, leading the Cardinals to an NFC West title and multiple weeks at #1 in the NFL. Although Arizona came up short in the NFC Title Game he had a season worthy of NFL MVP contention… and noone saw it coming.

    AFC Wild Card

Chiefs(5) Kansas City at Texans(4) Houston

    Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 – 4:35pm, ESPN/ABC

The Kansas City Chiefs (11-5) are riding high into this game on a 10 game winning streak, while the Texans (9-7) are coming off of clinching the AFC South title last week. The last time the Chiefs were in the playoffs a 38–10 lead turned into a 45–44 loss to the Colts. However, against Brian Hoyer and the rest of the Texans I’ve got the Chiefs in a big win.

    The Pick: Kansas City
    ATS Pick: Kansas City (-3)

    Steelers(6) Pittsburgh at (3) BengalsCincinnati

    Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 – 8:15pm ET, CBS

How crazy would it be if AJ McCarron led the Bengals (12-4) to a victory while starter Andy Dalton (0-4 in playoffs) sits on the bench and watches. This game could get ugly as two arch rivals battle it out to see who advances in the playoffs. Despite the tough loss against the Baltimore Ravens two weeks ago, I have enough confidence in Big Ben and the rest of the Steelers (11-5) to get the job done.

    The Pick: Pittsburgh
    ATS Pick: Pittsburgh -3

    NFC Wild Card

    Seahawks(6) Seattle at (3) VikingsMinnesota

    Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 – 1:05pm, NBC

Just 5 weeks ago the Seattle Seahawks (10-6) traveled to Minnesota to take on the Vikings (11-5) the same exact game as this. In that game The ‘Hawks dominated from start to finish and left with a 38-7 rout of a victory. This game will be cold, which the Vikings are more used to with temperatures ranging from -2 to 1 degree (Wind Chill of -16). Is that enough to close a 31 point gap? No.

    The Pick: Seattle
    ATS Pick: Seattle -4

Packers(5) Green Bay at Redskins(4) Washington

    Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 – 4:40pm, FOX

The best game of the Wild Card Weekend is also the last as the 10-6 Packers travel South to DC to face the 9-7 NFC East Champion Washington Redskins. The Redskins have won 4 out of their 4 last games while the Packers have won 4 of their last 10. What makes that stat intresting however is that the Redskins are 0-3 against teams with a winning record this year (They played the Jets, Patriots (#2 AFC), and the Panthers (#1 NFC)) Despite all of that I am giving the edge to Kirk Cousins, who has outperformed Aaron Rodgers recently and to the Washington Redskins.

    The Pick: Washington
    ATS Pick: Washington +1

  • WAY TOO EARLY NFL MOCK DRAFT (NFL MOCK 1.0)

WAY TOO EARLY NFL MOCK DRAFT (NFL MOCK 1.0)

If you’ve never seen a mock draft it is where the writer basically plays GM of all 32 teams, asses thier weaknesses and looks at possible draft prospects and select who they believe should be picked, at the end it wont really matter what I think, ESPN thinks, or anyone thinks. It all maters in 4 Months and 11 Days. Draft Day

    1. Tennessee Titans

The Pick: Laremy Tunsil, OT Ole Miss

Analysis: Laremy Tunsil would give Marcus Mariota and the rest of the Titans some reliable protection at the much needed gap of Offensive Tackle. It will be hard to turn Tennessee into a contender, but giving Mariota protection is the very first step.

    2. Cleveland Browns

The Pick: Paxton Lynch, QB Memphis

Analysis: Quarterback play has plagued the Browns for years, it looks like Johnny Football might not be a long term answer  for Cleveland (2-8 in games Manziel has completed a pass) and while there is some debate, Lynch is the best QB prospect in the draft to me, so he seems like the logical choice here.

    3. San Diego Chargers

The Pick: Laquon Treadwell, WR Ole Miss

Analysis: This might be out of left field to a lot of you, but let me explain myself. The Chargers have a extremely talented quarterback in Philip Rivers, what they need is someone who can catch the ball and make a move with it. Laquon Treadwell is the perfect guy to do that.

    4. Baltimore Ravens

The Pick: Jaylon Smith, OLB Notre Dame

Analysis:I wasn’t sure exactly  where to go with this pick at first. Then I realized what they need is someone who can force the hand of the offense, the Ravens have good coverage but no one that can rush the passer. Jaylon Smith can blitz for you on the outside and do what you need him to do, put pressure on the QB.

    5. San Francisco 49ers

The Pick: Joey Bosa, DE Ohio State

Analysis: Joey Bosa might be the most talented player in the draft and it wouldn’t shock me if he went to any of the 4 teams ahead of the 49ers, but sometimes you have to take what you need over the best possible talent, but Bosa isn’t going to slip past #5, and the 49ers could use a beast on the D-Line.

    6. Dallas Cowboys

The Pick: Jared Goff, QB California

Analysis: You didn’t see this one coming did you. Right when I was starting to take Tony Romo seriously as a top tier elite Quarterback he got injured. When Romo came back from injury the Cowboys looked poised to make a run for the NFC East title, and Romo got injured again, Dallas needs to seriously consider a replacement for Romo and with a top tier draft pick now is the time.

    7. Detroit Lions

The Pick: Jalen Ramsey, CB Florida State

Analysis: The Lions need a coverage corner badly, and why the stats may point to Vernon Hargreaves, in my opinion Jalen Ramsey is the best in this draft class. The Lions need a playmaker that can flip the field against a tough NFC North, it would also be nice if they could guard against Hail Mary’s.

    8. Miami Dolphins

The Pick: Ronnie Stanley, OT Notre Dame

Analysis: The Dolphins have given up one of the highest sack totals year in and year out, picking up a quality tackle in Ronnie Stanley would help protect Ryan Tannehill, who is a good quarterback if given time to perform. Stanley might not be a player that catches your eye but Offensive Tackles are incredibly important.

    9. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Pick: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB Florida

Analysis: The Jaguars have been quietly improving over the years but one thing the Jags need is a shutdown, lockdown cornerback. Vernon Hargreaves III can do that, and is a considerable improvement over Davon Housse and Aaron Colvin.

    10. Chicago Bears

The Pick: DeForest Buckner, DE Oregon

Analysis: If you’ve never heard of DeForest Buckner  you better learn fast as the 6’7″, 290 pounder is the 2nd best pass rusher in the draft. The Bears are one of those teams that needs help at a lot of different positions, but taking an electric pass rusher is always a good way to start rebuilding.

    11. St. Louis Rams

The Pick: Mackensie Alexander, CB Clemson

    12. New Orleans Saints

The Pick: Myles Jack, OLB UCLA

    13. New York Giants

The Pick: Emmanuel Ogbah, DT Oklahoma State
