NFL PRESEASON WEEK 3 PREDICTIONS FT. SEAHAWKS VS CHIEFS

    GAME OF THE WEEK PREDICTION

    What: Seahawks at Chiefs

Where: Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO

When: Friday, Aug. 21, at 8 p.m. ET

    Watch: N/A

    Betting Line: Chiefs -3

Last week the Kansas City Chiefs made easy work of the Cardinals and their opponent this week, the Seattle Seahawks let a win against the Broncos slip through their fingers. All eyes should be on Seahawks Kick Returner and all around speed demon Tyler Lockett after last weeks performance. Also Seattle running back and former second-round pick Christine Michael has been growing on me and could be Marshawn Lynch’s successor. Although he has struggled his first few years in the league he needs to show the pure athleticism that convinced Seattle to take such a high pick on him. On the other side of the spectrum a player to watch for the Chiefs is backup Quarterback Chase Daniel a veteran the can still sling the football with ease and has shown talent. If he continues to impress look out for the possibility of a team with a injured starter to reach out to Kansas City for a midseason trade. Marcus Peters, the Kansas City rookie has shown great development and it will be interesting to see him improve. The Pick: Chiefs 23, Seahawks 16

  • NFL PREDICTIONS PART 5/5: SUPER BOWL AND AWARD PREDICTIONS

NFL PREDICTIONS PART 5/5: SUPER BOWL AND AWARD PREDICTIONS

Thanks for checking in for this article! It might be a short one but a fun one as I go over my predictions for the 5 Major Awards and the Super Bowl.

    Offensive Rookie Of The Year

    Melvin Gordon, RB Chargers

Why: I think Gordon helps to take the Chargers from one of the worst running teams in the league to one of the top 15 and maybe even into the playoffs.

    Defensive Rookie Of The Year

    Leonard Williams, DL Jets

Why: Williams is literally a beast on the Defensive Line, even drawing comparisons to JJ Watt. The one good thing to take away from the Sheldon Richardson situation is that he will get more playing  time.

    Offensive Player Of The Year

    Adrian Peterson, RB Vikings

Why: I think Adrian Peterson will have a fire put on under him after missing last year due to suspension. Minnesota is my sleeper team for this year and Peterson is the main reason why.

    Defensive Player Of The Year

    Richard Sherman, CB Seahawks

Why: At this point the award is just between Watt and Sherman and with Sherman being on a top tier team I will give the nod to the best Corner Back in the game (sorry Darrelle Revis)

    Most Valuable Player

    Andrew Luck, QB Colts

Why:  If you saw my AFC Record predictions you saw that I predicted the Colts to go 13-3, the best record of any team and this QB is the main reason why

    SUPER BOWL PREDICTION

And finally, the moment you all (well some of you at least) have been waiting for my Super Bowl prediction! In 2013-14 I correctly predicted the AFC, NFC, and Super Bowl Champion. Ok, so it’s between the Packers and the Patriots and my prediction is…..

    Packers 34, Patriots 27

NFL PRESEASON WEEK 2 PREDICTIONS FT. PATRIOTS VS PACKERS

    GAME OF THE WEEK PREDICTION

    What: Packers at Patriots

Where: Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA

When: Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET

    Watch: NFL Network

    Betting Line: Patriots (-3)

Football is completely back this week with all 32 teams in action including this potential Super Bowl preview. Star Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play a couple of series’ for the Packer, while the Patriots will be without Tom Brady which means backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo will get a lot of time, possibly even a whole half which will be good practice for the first four games of the season if Brady’s suspension is upheld. Another thing to watch for the Pats is their Cornerback situation now that Darrelle Revis left in Free Agency. Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, Tarell Brown, and Bradley Fletcher all will get some time in that position battle. I would also watch rookie Malcolm Brown now that Vince Wilfork is gone. While the focus will be on the Patriots QB situation the Packers also have a battle for the #2 spot between Scott Tolzien, Matt Blanchard and rookie Brett Hundley. The Packers will start fast but in the end Jimmy Garoppolo will overcome the Packers defense. In the end My Pick is: Patriots 27, Packers 14.

    GAME OF THE WEEK PREDICTION

Where: Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio

When: Sunday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. ET

    Watch: NBC

    Betting LineVikings (-3)

Football is back people… finally. Well, preseason football anyway. But I figured I should throw up an article predicting this years Hall of Fame Game and while most fans will have to wait another week to see their teams put on pads, for Vikings and Steelers fans it comes a little early. And while we are unlikely to see stars like Antonio Brown, Ben Roethlisberger, and Adrian Peterson we should get a look at Teddy Bridgewater and rookies Trae Waynes and Bud Dupree. Because the Vikings, being a younger team will have more starters playing I will say for my prediction: Vikings 20, Steelers 16

  • DEFLATEGATE

    DEFLATEGATE

    Dear, NFL Front Office

Tom Brady should lose his appeal for “deflategate”, the scandal of deflating footballs in the 2014 AFC Championship Game and later lying about it in a public press conference. He was suspended 4 games and while I wouldn’t protest if the suspension was shortened to two games, the thought of the suspension being overturned entirely is just plain crazy.

Tom Brady was not suspended for doing something as small as deflating footballs as Patriots fans say, he was suspended for lying about it at a public press conference. The Patriots, being a very good team are also a very popular team, wins give you fans. Fans that include kids, kids that’s favorite team’s best player is a man who lies about cheating.

Patriots fans defense is that it didn’t matter, or didn’t have an impact in the game. Which is 100% true, New England won the game 45-7. Cheating is cheating no matter if it had an impact on the game or not. Tom Brady’s suspension should hold even if it’s shortened. The Patriots have basically admitted with the organization accepting the penalties and cutting ties with two equipment managers accused of being involved.

Patriots fans citing that there is no proof is also a completely ridiculous claim. Ted Wells, the lead investigator has a string of texts between two equipment managers one calling himself the “deflator” (to which the Patriots claim he was trying to lose weight) and in the string mentioning Tom Brady multiple times. Brady refused to give up his phone to the investigator.Below is one of the before mentioned text exchanges.

In conclusion there is enough evidence for me to say that Tom Brady’s punishment should stand. The Patriots star will hopefully learn from his mistakes. This Patriots organization is well known for “spygate” just add “deflategate” to the list.

  • DEFLATEGATE: Why the NFL got it right

DEFLATEGATE: Why the NFL got it right

Tom Brady suspended 4 games without pay. Patriots fined $1,000,000. Patriots forfeit 2016 1st round pick. Patriots forfeit 2017 4th round pick. All for some deflated footballs in a game where the Patriots blew out the opposition. So why did the NFL get it RIGHT? I predicted the first two penalties down to the cent, but to me forcing the Pats to give up a first rounder was harsh, but fair. This is strike two for the Pats if there never was a “spy gate” these punishments wouldn’t be nearly as harsh, but that’s how life works repeated offenders get harsher punishments. The funny thing is that the team actually gets roughly 800-900 K from this because the team won’t have to pay Tom Brady the 1.8-1.9 Million for the games he will miss. I can guarantee that Brady will appeal this suspension and I think it has a chance to be shortened to two games but the NFL sent a big message with this ruling: Cheaters never win… well they do but then later they get to stay home from work with their supermodel wife until week 6.

Make sure to debate down in the comment section below whether or not the NFL got this ruling right! Too harsh or too lenient?
