    WWE Payback predictions results 2016
Kickoff Match for the United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh really? Kalisto has been the most stale US Champion ever. He defended it against Del Rio about 12,000 times and he’s pretty close to doing that with Ryback. John Cena is coming back soon and when he does I’m guessing he will almost immediately win the US Title, to do that he needs to win it off of a bad guy soooo…

    The Pick: Ryback

WWE Payback predictions results 2016Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler

Baron Corbin just debuted and he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal for a reason. They aren’t going to have him lose to Dolph Ziggler, a guy who loses to everyone, right when he gets back. Corbin will win this match maybe after some slight cheating to set up a rematch at Extreme Rules if they want to go that route.

    The Pick: Baron Corbin

    WWE Payback predictions results 2016
WWE Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya

This seems like they have just been building up Natalya just so she can lose to Charlotte here. I doubt they will have Charlotte lose the title just 4 weeks after winning it. There will also probably be something where Ric Flair tries to cheat and Bret Hart stops him to pop the crowd. Charlotte wins to build her up as a credible champion.

    The Pick: Charlotte retains

#1 Contender for the Tag Team Championship: Enzo and Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains

Enzo and Cass vs The New Day is just such a money match that I wouldn’t give it up so soon after Enzo and Cass just debuted. It also makes sense for the VuadeVILLIANS to win because they are VILLIANS and The New Day are good guys, which makes a lot more sense than Face vs Face. Maybe the Dudley’s interfere and cost Enzo/Cass the match?

    The Pick: Vuadevillians

    WWE Payback predictions results 2016
    Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens

This two are just destined to fight forever, and while I disagree with having them fight one on one this early, I’m so excited for this match. As for who will win I’d take Sami Zayn winning with a fluky roll up, and then after the match Owens beats down Zayn, hitting the powerbomb on the apron, setting up a last man standing match at Extreme Rules.

    The Pick: Sami Zayn

    WWE Payback predictions results 2016
    Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho

Ambrose obviously wins here. But then at the same time I would’ve said AJ Styles obviously wins at Wrestlemania but Jericho won there. I’ll stick with Ambrose as he needs a win after getting demolished by Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. This seems like a one and done match and not a feud and Ambrose is more on the rise.

    The Pick: Ambrose

WWE Payback predictions results 2016Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) vs. Cesaro

I don’t know where they are going with this match. Miz and Maryse have been so good together ever since she returned, but Cesaro is arguably the best technical wrestler in the company. I’m going with Cesaro wither by a normal win or by disqualification remains to be seen.

    The Pick: Cesaro

    WWE Payback predictions results 2016
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles

I said I didn’t know what was going to happen in the last match, I have absolutely no clue what’s happening in the main event of the evening. This is certainly not going to be a clean match and it might end in DQ. My guess would be Balor Club showing up and killing both of them which would be a no-contest. But if I have to pick someone I’ll go with Reigns.

    The Pick: Roman Reigns

  • WWE WRESTLEMANIA 32 PREDICTIONS

    WWE WRESTLEMANIA 32 PREDICTIONS

    AJ Styles Chris Jericho WrestleMania
    AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

AJ Styles has a 2-1 advantage over Chris Jericho so far so logic would say Jericho would even up the score with a win here at Wrestlemania 32. However, Chris Jericho is on his way out and is already just a part timer and AJ Styles is the future of the WWE. I’ve got AJ Styles improving his WWE PPV record (in singles matches) to 2-0.

    The Pick: AJ Styles

Team BAD and Blonde Total Divas WrestleMania
The Total Divas vs. B.A.D. & Blonde

I have no clue why this match is happening other than just getting everybody on the card. This is probably Brie Bella’s last match (at least for the forseeable future) and it is Lana’s first match so those almost like cancel out. When Eva Marie came out last week they teased some tension. I see Eva turning on her partners, giving BAD and Blonde the win.

    The Pick: B.A.D. & Blonde

    The Usos Dudley Boyz WrestleMania
The Usos vs. The Dudley Boyz

I have no idea where they are going with this match. On the one hand, the Dudley’s recently turned heel and it would be nice to give them a big pay-per-view win in this recent run. On the other hand it’s Wrestlemania, and the babyfaces almost always win. Expect The Usos to get the dub here and maybe celebrate with Reigns at the end of the night.

    The Pick: The Usos

andre the giant memorial battle royal
The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

There haven’t been that many interesting entrants in this year’s Battle Royal. The current entrant list is: Heath Slater, Curtis Axel, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Big Show, Kane, Tyler Breeze, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger, Fandango, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, Konnor, Viktor, Goldust, and R-Truth. The Wyatt Family don’t have anything else going so I think they will enter in here and help Bray Wyatt to a victory.

    The Pick: Bray Wyatt

    New Day League Of Nations
The League of Nations vs. The New Day

The New Day better not lose this match. The New Day (Big E & Kofi) beat The League of Nations (Barrett & Sheamus) at WWE Roadblock. The following night on Raw The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) defeated the League of Nations (Rusev & Del Rio) There is no reason The New Day should lose here just because the titles aren’t on the line this time.

    The Pick: The New Day

    Kalisto Ryback WrestleMania
United States Championship Match: Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback

The United States Championship has fallen so far, just a year ago John Cena’s US Title Open Challenge was absolutely fantastic. Now it’s delegated to the Wrestlemania preshow. This match has no story but it should be all right. These two had a match in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament on Smackdown in November that was surprisingly good. I guess Kalisto retains.

    The Pick: Kalisto

    Ic title ladder match wrestlemania
Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sin Cara vs. Zack Ryder vs. The Miz vs. Stardust

Ok, let’s be honest here. Ziggler isn’t going to win (he lost to Owens last month at Fast Lane) Sin Cara isn’t going to win (he hasn’t won a televised singles match since Feburary 2015) Zack Ryder isn’t going to win (he’s mostly just on NXT) The Miz and Stardust aren’t going to win (If a heel was going to win it would be Owens) The only remaining contenders are Zayn and Owens. Zayn just joined the main roster so the best bet is Kevin Owens.

    The Pick: Kevin Owens

    Divas Championship Triple Threat
Divas Championship Triple Threat: Charlotte (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch

This is a contender for what could be match of the night. Becky Lynch seems to be there just to take the fall and Charlotte has held the championship for forever. I think it’s time. The “We Want Sahsa!” chants have been building, it’s time for the boss to become the champion (Hopefully they debut a new Women’s Title on Raw and get rid of the Butterfly Belt)

    The Pick: Sasha Banks

    Dean Ambrose Brock Lesnar
No Holds Barred Street Fight: Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose

Well, we’ve got nothing left but the three main events. This match should be another contender for Match of the Night should it be given enough time and enough extreme. As for the winner, Brock Lesnar has bested Dean Ambrose almost every single time they’ve fought leading up to Wrestlemania, so by WWE logic Ambrose will win here.

    The Pick: Dean Ambrose

    Shane McMahon Undertaker WrestleMania
Hell in a Cell Match: Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker

If Shane McMahon wins he gets control of WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night RAW, and the Undertaker can never wrestle at Wrestlemania again. If the Undertaker wins…. nothing happens. So obviously to progress the story Shane McMahon wins. On the other hand having The Undertaker lose at Wrestlemania in Hell In A Cell to a part-timer seems far fetched. Maybe Shane gets some help from a certain Bálor Club…

    The Pick: Shane McMahon

    Triple H Roman Reigns WrestleMania
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns

We all know exactly how this match is going to go. Superman punch. Spear. Pin. Win. Confetti. And a whole lot of boos. Roman Reigns is going to win this match and no one in the crowd is going to be happy about it. The best hope is after Reigns wins the Rock comes out and BOOM! Roman Reigns turns heel, sending the crows home happy.

    The Pick: Roman Reigns

  • NXT TAKEOVER DALLAS PREDICTIONS

    NXT TAKEOVER DALLAS PREDICTIONS

Sami Zayn Shinsuke Nakamura NXT Takeover
    Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

It’s Nakamura’s debut match, and Zayn is on his way out, Nakamura is obviously getting the win here, but it should be an absolutely incredible match, possibly even a match of the year candidate, and certainly a candidate for best match of what is known as the biggest weekend in wrestling.

    The Pick: Shinsuke Nakamura

    Elias Samson

    Apollo Crews vs. Elias Samson

I  honestly didn’t even know this match was happening, I couldn’t even find a graphic for it because there has been very little, if-any buildup but it should be a good chance to see “the drifter” Elias Samson in a longer match, as most of his matches are pretty short, I do think Apollo Crews will win, he’s a future champion, and Elias Samson is a flash in the pan.

    The Pick: Apollo Crews

    Austin Aries Baron Corbin NXT

    Baron Corbin vs. Austin Aries

Austin Aries’ first big match, which means he is the obvious choice for who will win this contest. I’m not sure where Corbin goes from here assuming he loses, as I don’t know if he is ready to join the main roster, maybe we could see an upset here…

    The Pick: Austin Aries

    American Alpha The Revival
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Revival (c) vs. American Alpha

The Revival have been champions for a long time, and it’s time for some new faces on top of the NXT Tag Team division, and that comes in the form of American Alpha, they are as good as their name is stupid. But honestly, these guys are the future of tag team wrestling.

    The Pick: American Alpha

    Bayley Asuka NXT Takeover
NXT Women’s Championship Match: Bayley (c) vs. Asuka

This is the toughest match to predict on this card. Bayley has been absolutely fantastic as NXT Women’s champion, but her time to join the main roster with the rest of the 4 horsewomen may be sooner rather than later. Asuka takes this one, and goes into a feud with Nia Jax.

    The Pick: Asuka

Finn Balor Samoa Joe NXT Takeover

NXT Championship Match: Finn Bálor (c) vs. Samoa Joe

This is another tough matchup to predict as it’s basically a loser goes up to RAW match. I think it’s time for Finn Bálor to drop the NXT title. Samoa Joe should beat Bálor here and become NXT Champion because most of the challengers are babyfaces. Finn Bálor can go up to the main roster and  debut on the post-mania raw as part of Bálor Club.

    King Barrett Sheamus New Day
WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (c) vs. Sheamus and King Barrett

The League of Nations has no momentum, and there is no way they win the belts here just 6 days after the New Day retained vs Y2AJ in what was a phenomenal match (pun intended). The New Day will probably get a Wrestlemania match while the League of Nations will be relegated to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

    The Pick: New Day

    NXT Tag Titles Roadblock
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Revival (c) vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady

The Realest Guys (Enzo and Cass) so deserve this win, they have been in NXT  for so long and have never held the Tag Team Titles but this just isn’t the time to pull a title change. Things seem to be heading straight towards The Revival vs American Alpha at Takeover: Dallas. We can only hope that The Realest Guys get called up to the main roster soon for all of their hard work.

    The Pick: The Revival

    Brock Lesnar Bray Wyatt
    Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt

Seriously… The question isn’t whether or not Lesnar will win, but how many of the Wyatt Family he takes on at once. Obviously Brock gets the W here because he already has a Wrestlemania 32 match with Dean Ambrose while Bray Wyatt has nothing… Oh and also that thing where he hasn’t been pinned in 3 years (vs Triple H at Wrestlemania 29)

    The Pick: Brock Lesnar

    Triple H Dean Ambrose Roadblock
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Triple H (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

How amazing would it be if Triple H lost this match to Dean Ambrose, setting up a HHH v Ambrose v Reigns v Lesnar match in the main event of Mania rather than this Roman v Trips bullshit we are going to get that no one wants… Alas there is no chance in hell that that is happening, Triple H goes into the show of shows as champ.

    The Pick: Triple H

    WWE Fastlane 2016 analysis predictions
2-out-of-3 Falls Match for the United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio

For starters, it was just 4 months ago that the United States Championship was the hottest thing on TV, now it’s a pre-show title. If that doesn’t make you respect John Cena then I don’t know what will. Next, this shouldn’t even be the pre-show match on a pay per view that includes a Tamina Snuka match and Big Show, Kane, and Ryback in a 6-man tag. Anyways, I’d give this one to Kalisto, He only just won the title back 4 weeks ago and he could make a US Title ladder match for WrestleMania, to keep Del Rio strong I’d have one of Kalisto’s falls by via Del Rio getting DQ’d.

    The Pick: Kalisto (2-1)

    WWE Fastlane 2016 analysis predictions
    AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

These two put on great matches against each other in their two previous encounters even though it felt like they were holding stuff back for a bigger match. I could see this fued going 2 different ways. First, they could have a best of seven series with obviously Match 3 here, then Match 5 at March to Wrestlemania, and then the final Match 7 at Mania itself. Or Styles could just win the fued here and move on to Kevin Owens at Mania… Both ways begin with Styles winning so that’ll be my pick.

    The Pick: AJ Styles

    The Pick: The Wyatt Family

    WWE Fastlane 2016 analysis predictions
Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch vs. Naomi and Tamina

Sahsa Banks and Becky Lynch will probably face Charlotte in a Triple Threat at Mania so you have to build them up here, Naomi is a very underrated worker in the ring so this match will surprise a lot of people as long as Tamina stays on the apron for most of it.

The Pick: Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch

    WWE Fastlane 2016 analysis predictions
Divas Championship Match: Charlotte (c) vs. Brie Bella

I could see Brie taking this one home. And here’s why. A couple weeks back Daniel Bryan retired and his wife Brie Bella has said she will do the same shortly. She could win this match, and then the next night on Raw retire with the championship. This would set up the aforementioned Charlotte v Becky v Sasha at mania for a vacant WOMEN’S TITLE because they should be women not “divas”. However, all that is just a dream scenario as Charlotte will probably take the win via shenanigans and we will be stuck with the butterfly belt.

    The Pick: Charlotte

WWE Fastlane 2016 analysis predictionsIntercontinental Championship Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

According to profightdb.com these two have faced off 20 times, TWENTY! 10 of which were just normal one on one, and in those matches (not counting ones in this month/feud) Owens is 7-1, a lone loss coming on a random Smackdown. Anyway, Owens just got the belt 6 days ago, no way are they taking it back off of him.

    The Pick: Kevin Owens

    WWE Fastlane 2016 analysis predictions
#1 Contender Triple Threat Match: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose

I’m very confident I will go 6-0 on those last 6 picks. I’m also pretty confident Roman Reigns will win this match by pinning Dean Ambrose, but they don’t call me Crazy Sports Dude for nothing. Brock Lesnar will probably be taken out by the Wyatt’s, leaving Reigns free to hit the spear on Ambrose 1, 2, 3. But all that changed on Monday. WWE took the Intercontinental Title off of Dean Ambrose. I’ve listened to a lot of people’s opinion’s on this, and most of them say the same thing. They took the belt off of Dean to make it look like someone other than Reign’s has a chance. But Dean winning would make so much more sense. If Dean wins that could let Reigns turn heel and VIOLA! You’ve found the perfect guy to retire the Undertaker, it was going to be John Cena but he’s hurt, so why not John Cena 2.0?

    The Pick: Dean F’n Ambrose

Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (c) vs. The Usos

This is probably the toughest match to predict on this Royal Rumble show (outside of the Rumble itself). The New Day have held on to the titles for 5 months and it wouldn’t make sense for them to lose them here in a meaningless match against the Uso’s that has more New Day vs Chris Jericho in it than the actual teams competing. Then again this would be the match to put the belts on the Uso’s as it could be the Samoan Twins’ last shot at gold and we all know they love to pull big swerves at the Rumble. Nevertheless I’m sticking with the New Day heading towards Wrestlemania.

    The Pick: New Day

    dean-ambrose-kevin-owens-royal-rumble
Last Man Standing Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Kevin Owens

Oh. My. God. This match is going to be so damn good. A “Last Man Standing” match is a contest where you have to incapacitate your opponent enough so that they stay down for a count of 10, and these two are going to put it all out there, expect some absolutely crazy bumps. Ambrose beat Owens at Survivor Series. Ambrose beat Owens at TLC. So Ambrose will beat Owens here no matter the added stipulation. Owens should be in the main event title picture, let Ambrose get his victory here, go to Mania fighting someone like Chris Jericho and have Owens wreak havoc in the Rumble match later on in the night (more on that later).

    The Pick: Dean Ambrose

    alberto-del-rio-kalisto-royal-rumble
United States Championship Match: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Kalisto

On January 11th, 2016 Kalisto beat Alberto Del Rio for the United States championship, the problem is on January 12th Del Rio got it right back, thus setting up this rubber match for the title on Sunday. This is probably the least interesting match on the card as Kalisto pretty obviously will pick up the gold, it’s the classic underdog story. He got a “fluke” win and since has been decimated, losing on the January 18th Raw to Sheamus and getting beat down on Smackdown by the League of Nations, therefore Kalisto will be the US Champ come Sunday Night.

    The Pick: Kalisto

    becky-lynch-charlotte
Divas Championship Match: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch

Finally! A well built up women’s story between two competitors that will put on a great match. The thing that was wrong with the “Divas Revolution” was the matches weren’t bad but they had no story behind them which completely drains the charisma, taking out some of the interesting parts of the match. The outcome of this match however should be Ric Flair trying to cheat, Becky knocks him down and Charlotte taking advantage of the distraction to pick up the win. It builds Charlotte as someone who doesn’t care what happens to her loved ones and the loss doesn’t look so bad for Becky.

    The Pick: Charlotte

    royal-rumble-roman-reigns
Royal Rumble Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

For starters there are only two announced people that have a real shot at winning: Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Sure Wyatt, Sheamus, Owens, Ambrose, and maybe even Del Rio have an outside shot at winning but lets be honest it’s between those two guys. Now there are some surprise entrants that could take home the gold like AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan (fingers crossed), an Undertaker return and of course the guy that is the Vegas favorite to win this match…Triple H. HHH was destroyed by Reigns at TLC and we haven’t seen him since on WWE TV. Would people like it? Probably not, but it makes sense from a story line perspective. If I were booking I’d have Lesnar be dumped out by Wyatt or Owens setting up his Wrestle Mania feud and have Reigns, battered, bruised, all the way from #1 alone in the ring and #30 is the game, HHH. He wins the title and  goes on to Wrestle Mania.

    The Pick: HHH
