    WEEK 1 NFL PICKS

Here are my NFL Picks for Week 1, hope you enjoy!

    MY SURVIVOR LEAGUE PICK

A Survivor pool is a pool in which you pick a team to win each week, the catch is once you pick a team you can’t pick them again. I went to the Final 2 of a thirty some person league last year and want to share my insight with you.

The Week 1 Pick is: Panthers over Jaguars. While the majority of people are picking the Packers this week, I would prefer to save that team for later and go for the less talented Panthers who are nearly guaranteed a home win over the struggling Jaguars.

    GAME OF THE WEEK PICK

    What: Ravens at Broncos

When: Sunday, September 13, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS

Where: Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver, Colorado

    What: CBS

    Odds: Broncos -4.5

In the Week 1 Game Of The Week we see the Ravens traveling to Denver to take on the Broncos in a matchup of 2014 playoff squads. Over the offseason the Ravens lost Torrey Smith and traded away Haloti Ngata. They drafted Breshad Perriman and Timmy Jernigan to try and fill those holes. The stout Baltimore defense including Terrell Suggs and Courtney Ushaw as edge rushers, will be put to the test early by Denver’s experienced offense. After considering retirement Peyton Manning is back for possibly his final season, however the main star of the offense is CJ Anderson, who will a lot of weight put on him as Manning isn’t getting any younger. With Julius Thomas and Wes Welker gone the Patriots now look to former Ravens player Owen Daniels to take some of the stress off Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. The Broncos might have the best defense in the league with Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware, Aquib Talib, Brandon Marshall, and much more talent. In a closer game than people expect, I’m taking The Broncos, 21-13.

    NFL RECAP WEEK 3

    BUCCANEERS AT FALCONS

Devin Hester broke the record for kick return touchdowns, Matt Ryan was near perfect and Julio Jones made a ton of crazy catches. The result?  A 56-14 trouncing of the Buccaneers which was 56-0 at one point. ” It was a fun night,” Ryan said. Hester ran back his 20th career kick return breaking Deion Sanders’ record, Hester high stepped the last 10 yards as a tribute to his mentor. “It’s tough to break the record of the guy who is my No. 1 mentor,” Hester said. “I’m kind of emotional right now.”

    COWBOYS AT RAMS

The Cowboys came back from down 21-0 to stun the St. Louis Rams 34-31 after Dez Bryant caught a wide open 64 yard pass to secure the victory for Dallas”No one ever comes that wide open,” quarterback Tony Romo said “You want to make sure you don’t do anything stupid.” Bruce Carter was a beast on the defensive end as he picked off a pass and returned it all the way. DeMarco Murray had over 100 yards in the comeback as well but the real star was Tony Romo. “Tony went out there and did what Tony do,” Dez Bryant said. “He was poised and he knew what he wanted to do.”

    BRONCOS AT SEAHAWKS

Peyton Manning lead an incredible last minute drive and got the two-point conversion to send it to overtime only for Russell Wilson to engineer a drive of his own in the extra time period. “I can’t wait for those moments, those big-time moments and have guys to continue to believe in what we do,” Wilson said. “That was a great experience tonight.” The game was what the Super Bowl should have  been.
