  • CSD SHORTS: #1 Seeds

    CSD SHORTS: #1 Seeds

My 4 #1 seeds are as followed

    1 overall: Arizona

The Wildcats are #1 and RPI, BPI, Pomeroy, and Sagarin as well as #1 vs Top 25 and Top 50. What else can I say.

    2 overall: Florida

Florida and Syracuse are the 2 teams in consideration for the 2 overall seed and Florida’s worst loss : UConn  is soooo much better than Syracuse’s ( Boston College who lost to Miami by 27 on Saturday).

    3 overall: Syracuse

Which makes the #3 overall team Syracuse.

    4 overall: Wichita State

Everyone says: Wichita hasn’t played anyone. They have. They’ve beat: #10 St Louis, BYU, and Tennessee (who beat number 12 Virginia by like 30 in December). They are a definite 1 seed in my mind if they run the table.

  • DAYTONA 500 RECAP

    DAYTONA 500 RECAP

Let’s begin, lap 39 and they bring out the red flag because of rain, the race wouldn’t resume until 8:52 PM! On lap 85 Danica Patrick took the lead, she wouldn’t hold on to that position for long, but a great moment for women in racing! On Lap 120, Tony Stewart came in for a pit  because of fuel pressure problems he drops a ton of positions, he would finish 35th. Lap 145 and Aric Almirola’s car goes out of control he crashes into Patrick, her car slams into the wall! 9 cars were involved in the crash. 17 laps to go now and Trevor Bayne loses control of his car, slams into the wall, his day is done. With 7 laps to go there was a huge crash and we are under caution. 2 laps to go, Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the lead. Final turn, huge collision occurs behind Jr., he keeps going and takes the checkerd flag! The final results:, Earnhardt Jr 1st, Hamlin 2nd, Keslowski 3rd, Gordon 4th, and and Johnson 5th. Danica Patrick finished 40th/

  • BOEHEIM COSTS #1 CUSE WIN

    BOEHEIM COSTS #1 CUSE WIN

    #1 Syracuse 25-1 at #5 Duke 21-6

Let’s begin with Mason Plumlee going up and slamming down a putback jam off of a missed 3! But then Syracuse’s Michael Gbinije knocks down a 3! It was back-and forth! Then, Jabari Parker for 3…YES! Parker had 19 Points and 10 boards on the day. 2nd half now and Rasheed Sulamon splits two defenders and lays it off the glass for the score! Duke up 1 but Tyler Ennis, from deep…YES! ‘Cuse takes the lead! But Rodney Hood takes it back with a 3! Then Hood misses but Jabari Parker makes a one-handed putback slam! Duke up 4 but Jerami Grant makes a little floater for the Orange and the lead is down to 2, Grant had 17 points and 8 rebounds. Under a minute left now, Cuse down 3 and Rakeem Christmas with a dunk! 10 seconds left, Duke up 2, CJ Fair drives and lays it in, and 1? But the refs call a charge, which means Duke ball, still up 2 Jim Boeheim comes out yelling and cursing at the refs he gets a tech, he keeps going he gets another technical and is ejected which gives Duke 4 free trows, they make 3 and win, Boeheim cost ‘Cuse a chance at the win but did he have a point? CSD’s take: The rule change this year was that the defender’s feet must be set when the shooter begins upward motion, not shoots ,therefore I believe the official made the wrong call.
