TALK OF THE TOWN: MAY 22 SPURS-WARRIORS GAME #2

Halfway through the 4th 83-73 spurs but Pondexter! Slam Dunk cuts the lead to 8. Then Pondexter 3… YES Grizzles cut the lead to 5. Less than a minute to go 85-81 Spurs Manu Ginobli turns the ball over and then Tony Allen goes up and gets fouled nice job selling it by Parker his head never hit the ground but he’s holding his head like he was hit with a shovel. Flagrant 1 called (no ejection) but he makes the 2 free throws for the Grizzles and the lead is down to 2! Then Mike Conley scores and we are headed to OT. 87-87 halfway through OT and Parker 3… NO  but Duncan puts it back in 89-87 Spurs. Then Duncan ugly shot but it falls. Spurs up 4. less then 30 seconds left same score and Jerryd Bayless from the top of the key…YES that cuts the lead back down to 2 91-89. Then have to foul so Tony Parker on the freebee… GOOD  92-89 now after the free throw. Then desperation 3 by Bayless to tie the game… No! It just wasn’t meant to be.
