The game was scoreless through almost all of the first half until Karim Benzema got Les Bleus on the board first with a PK. Then Noel Valladares commited an own goal (goal-line technology was used and it was awesome!) Benzema then got his second goal of the day at Porto Alegre when the Real Madrid forward put in the shot off the rebound to insure the French 3 points and 1st place in Group E.
