IT’S HERE! SEASON KICKS OFF WITH THRILLER, COULD GEORGIA STATE CONVERT THE 2-MINUTE DRILL?

The first game of the 2014 college footbal season was a dandy as Nick Arbuckle led the Panthers of Georgia State on a game-winning, 72 yard drive in the final 2:45 to give Georgia State their first win as a Division 1-FBS school. Arbuckle converted on 2 fourth downs and ran for 30 yards to set the Panthers up for a game winning kick, and junior kicker Wil Luutz converted giving Georgia State their first win since  October 13th 2012 at Rhode Island. Panthers fans stormed the field to celebrate an exciting first game. Arbuckle threw for 413 yards and 4 touchdowns. The game was heartbreaking for Abilene Christian as the Wildcats just moved to Division 1-FCS last year and a win over a FBS team would boost their resume.
