MO’NE DAVIS, MID-ATLANTIC ELIMINATED BY WEST

The West advanced to the United States championship game with an 8-1 win over Mid-Atlantic, sending Mo’Ne Davis and Mid-Atlantic to the losers bracket were they will face Great Lakes. The first girl to ever get a win in the Little League World Series went just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out six, allowed three runs and was charged with the loss. A 5-run 6th inning propelled the West champions from Las Vegas, Nevada to the W. The runs came on a passed ball, an RBI double by Zach Hare, an RBI single by Austin Kryszczuk, and a two-run homer from Brennan Holligan. hare was the MVP, going 3-4 with an RBI and 2 runs. Kryszczuk looked great on the mound. He held the underdogs out of  Philadelphia hitless over three innings, allowing no earned runs, walking one and striking out six.
