TALK OF THE TOWN AUG 26: PEAVY LEADS SOX TO WIN

Red Sox at Dodgers

Let’s start, Top 4th, 2 outs, Red Sox batting and Xander Bogaerts doubles to center, that scores a run and the Sox are up 3-0. 3-1 now, Top 6th and Jarrod Saltalamacchia blasts a 2-run shot to left and Boston is up 5-1. Bottom 9th, 2 outs, 8-1 and Jake Peavy strikes out Hanley Ramirez that would end the game.

The Red Sox had 8 runs on 12 hits and no errors, they improve to 77-55. Some key Players for the Sox were Mike Napoliwho went 2-4  with a HR (his 16th of the year), and 3 RBI’s and Jake Peavy who got they win to improve to 10-5 on the year pitching he pitched the complete game, let up 3 hits, walked one, and struck out 5. The Dodgers scored 1 run on 3 hits and fall to 76-54 on the year.
