UVA also lost to George Mason, Delaware, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Wake Forest. That’s more than just “things happen.” That’s a trend of losing to teams that are just plain bad.

I know they have some good wins, so they have an outside chance. But that win against NC State does not do enough to cancel out the losses. Remember, all of those teams UVA lost to are outside of the RPI top 100.

At this point, it’s highly unlikely. I think they would need to at least make the ACC tourney semi-final and avoid any bad losses from here on to have a legit shot.

I think they should be in as well. That defense is for real. People talk about Old Dominion but what about Wisconsin and NC State?
