NFL RECAP WEEK 4

Packers at Bears

Before Sunday’s game Aaron Rodgers told Packers fans to relax, and if they don’t relax after this one then I don’t know what it will take. Green Bay demolished the rival Bears 38-17 as Rodgers threw for 302 yards and 4 touchdowns giving the Packers their 700th win in franchise history. It was a very exciting game with so many scores and turnovers that neither punted the whole game, that is only the 2nd time that has happened…EVER. “Interesting,” Jordy Nelson said. “Obviously, turnovers were a big thing. It’s fun, especially when you’re putting up points and having a good time.” The Bears matched the Pack score for score the whole game until Jay Cutler threw interceptions on back-to-back drives.

Saints at Cowboys

Tony Romo bounced back from throwing four picks vs the 49ers to throw for 262 yards and 3 touchdowns and DeMarco Murray added a buck-forty-nine and two scores to carry Dallas to a 38-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints. At the end of the third quarter Romo scrambled and slid for a first down even after going through back surgery. “It makes me feel old and the fact that I haven’t gotten more than 21 yards is pretty pathetic,” said Romo, whose previous long run was 17 yards”But other than that, it feels pretty great.” The Saints got within 14 but punter Thomas Morestead failed to convert on a fake punt, letting Dallas kneel out the clock, improving to 3-1.

Patriots at Chiefs

Jamaal Charles came back from an ankle injury on Monday night to gash the Patriots defense for almost 100 yards and a touchdown rushing as well as as the Chiefs whipped New England 41-14.  “Coach said he was going to look for me, and see how it feels during the game,” Charles, a pro bowl running back said, “and I guess I started feeling like myself. He didn’t want to take me out.” Tom Brady threw two interceptions for the Patriots and was strip-sacked in the loss. The game was so out of hand even backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo came in for a few snaps, including a touchdown pass late in the fourth.
