COLLEGE BASKETBALL PREVIEW PART 8/9 – ACC

1 North Carolina
North Carolina can certainly win a Nation Championship this year, with Marcus Paige out for the beginning of the year, the depth of the Tar Heels will be tested early.
2 Duke
Duke lost three one and done’s last year, but welcomes the nation’s #2 recruiting class, Duke will contend this year.
3 Virginia
Virginia would be ACC Preseason, and possibly national #1 had Justin Anderson stayed with the Cavaliers. The Cavs (Preseason #6) will certainly contend for a national title.
4 Louisville
Most key players from last year’s Elite 8 run are no longer with the Cards, but they bring in two key transfers in Damion Lee and Trey Lewis
5 Florida State
Florida State’s Top 10 nationally recruiting class will certainly help Florida State, but in a STACKED ACC they won’t contend for a conference title.
6 Miami
The Hurricanes return almost everyone from last year’s NIT Championship, they will get into the Big Dance this year.
7 Notre Dame
This won’t be a Elite 8 team like last year’s Fighting Irish, but Mike Brey can certainly keep this team good enough to put the ACC’s top three on upset alert.
8 Syracuse
Despite Jim Boeheim’s absence from the first nine conference games the Orange still brought a Top 15 recruiting class to New York.

The Wolfpack lost leading scorer Trevor Lacey from last year’s Sweet Sixteen team, but Anthony Barber could lead this team to March.
