COLLEGE BASKETBALL WEEKDAY PICKS – 2/6-2/10 – CHECK BACK EACH WEEK FOR NEW PICKS

Monday 2/6
*Monday’s picks not updated with new AP Top 25*
#6Louisville (19-4) @ #9
Virginia (17-5) – 7PM ET, ESPN
Louisville’s two top leading scorers from the Boston College game will be out for a road game against a Virginia team that clobbered them in Louisville earlier this year. In that game the Cavaliers jumped out to a twenty point lead, UL chipped away at it, but the Wahoos held on to get a big win on the road. Virginia is coming off of a loss to Syracuse that dropped them from 1st to 3rd in Kenpom’s projected ACC Tournament seeding, which should give the Cavs some added motivation. Louisville will be looking for revenge, but Tony Bennett has had Pitino’s number in the past few years, and that leads the Cavs to another win.
The Pick: Virginia
#3Kansas (20-3) @
Kansas State (16-7) – 9PM ET, ESPN
This in state rivalry will feature one of the best offenses in the country going on the road to face a criminally underrated Kansas State team that is coming off of a road win against then-number seven West Virginia, this would be a great resume booster for the Wildcats, but I don’t see lightning striking twice in a 2-day span. The Jayhawks have been near unbeatable this year, and I was shocked, as were many others, when the ‘Cats dropped their first home game in past 55. The Jayhawks are going to come in fighting hard after losing their grip on a on seed, this will be closer than expected, but Kansas will win.
The Pick: Kansas

Florida State (20-4) – 7PM ET, ESPN2
The Pick: Florida State
#6Baylor (20-3) @
Oklahoma State (15-8) – 7PM ET, ESPNU
Baylor has lost two games in a row, a road loss to Kansas, and a home loss to Kansas State. On the other hand, Oklahoma State has won five straight, including an 82-75 win at West Virginia on Saturday. For Baylor to win this game they will need to shoot a lot better than they did against Kansas State, but I see the Cowboys being able to slow down Baylor’s high-powered offense, and Jeffrey Carroll scoring 20+ points, en route to another win for the Pokes, and third straight loss for Baylor.
The Pick: Oklahoma State

#16Purdue (19-5) @
Indiana (15-9) – 7PM ET, ESPN2
The Pick: Purdue
#8North Carolina (21-4) @ #18
Duke (18-5) – 8PM ET, ESPN
It’s been a really weird season for Duke, they started the year with a boatload of injuries to key players, then Grayson Allen got “indefinitely” suspended for just one game, and then a few games later, Coach K left to go get back surgery. After all of that it has to be impressive that Duke comes into this one as a slight favorite. North Carolina on the other hand looks to be the favorite to walk into Brooklyn as the #1 seed, the Tar Heels have dominated with size, but Duke will have Amile Jefferson back for this game along with the young talented freshman Harry Giles down low. Duke looked really unimpressive on Saturday against Pitt, but I have a feeling that was just Duke getting their kinks out in Coach K’s first game back, and now against Carolina with it all on the line, Krzyzewski will coach Duke to a win.
The Pick: Duke
#25SMU (20-4) @
Temple (13-11) – 9PM ET, ESPN2
The Pick: SMU
#7Wisconsin (20-3) @
Nebraska (10-13) – 9PM ET, BTN
The Pick: Wisconsin
#5Oregon (21-3) @ #10
UCLA (21-3) – 10PM ET, ESPN
The second of a fantastic Thursday night double header on ESPN comes in the way of a showdown in the Pac 12, and while Arizona is still the leader for the Pac-12 regular season champion, the winner of this one becomes a clear second, and becomes within striking distance of the Wildcats. Oregon won the first matchup between these two teams in an absolute thriller on the back of Dillon Brooks. But the encore to that matchup comes at UCLA, and while Oregon comes in with the momentum, I see Lonzo Ball and TJ Leaf leading UCLA, and the Kenpom #1 rated offense to walk out with a victory.
The Pick: UCLA

Dayton (18-5) @
Rhode Island (16-7) – 7PM ET, ESPN2
