GERMANY ROUTS PORTUGAL

Germany made a better start to their world cup campaign than anyone could have imagined with a 4-0 win over Portugal where Thomas Muller scored a hat trick and Germany gained first place in group G. The game started well for Germany when Muller, a Bayner Munich midfielder scored on a PK at 12′ and Mats Hummels scored a header in the 32nd minute to make it a 2-0 German lead at the break and Portugal’s fate was sealed when Pepe was ejected from the game. Thomas Muller would score two more goals for Germany, one at 45’+1 and another at 78′. Portugal basically needs to get a win on Sunday against the US of A to stay alive.
