KANSAS STATE PROVES WHY ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN A RIVALRY GAME

Kansas is a much better team than their in-state rival Wildcats. But last night in The Little Apple Kansas state proved that any given night is a real thing, especially in rivalry games. As the game winded down and the clock hit zero thousands of screaming fans donning Wildcat purple streamed onto the court, a special moment indeed for all in attendance. Nigel Johnson scored a career high 20 points as the Wildcats blew the Big 12 race wide open in an 70-63 win. “I’ve talked all season about not dwelling on the past, not thinking about the future, focus on today,” Kansas State coach Bruce Weber said, “and I think they did that.”
