MY FIRST NFL MOCK DRAFT OF 2017

#1 – Cleveland Browns

The Pick: Myles Garrett, DE – Texas A&M

Why: Right now, I don’t think that there is a quarterback worth taking at the #1 spot, and the Browns need help everywhere, so they might as well take the best talent on the board, and that is Myles Garrett.

#2 – San Francisco 49ers

The Pick: Mitch Trubisky, QB – North Carolina

Why: The Niners need to move on from Colin Kaepernick at quarterback. I like Trubisky’s intangibles, quick decision making, and accuracy, and I have him ranked a touch above DeShone Kizer.

#3 – Chicago Bears

The Pick: DeShone Kizer, QB – Notre Dame

Why: The Bears need to move on from Jay Cutler, and with his dead cap money dropping around 15 million this year, I see no other option for the Bears than to get rid of Cutler, and get Kizer.

#4 – Jacksonville Jaguars

The Pick: Jonathan Allen, DE – Alabama

Why: This seems like a pretty obvious pick assuming Allen is still on the board. Allen had the best year of any defensive college player this year, and the Jags could use a tackle to go with their talented edge rushers.

#5 – Tennessee Titans (from Los Angeles Rams)

The Pick: Mike Williams, WR – Clemson

Why: The Titans are in dire need of some weapons for Marcus Mariota, and I have Williams as the highest ranked WR/TE on the board, he is a natural born receiver, tall, long, and quick.

#6 – New York Jets

The Pick: Leonard Fournette, RB – LSU

Why: If Kizer or Trubisky is still on the board at this point then it would make sense for the Jets to go quarterback, but if not, Matt Forte is only a temporary fix at runningback, and securing Fournette gives the Jets a great back for years to come.

#7 – San Diego Chargers

The Pick: Malik Hooker, FS – Ohio State

Why: The Chargers are in need of someone to replace Eric Weddle, and Hooker is the type of rangey, ballhawking saftey that could quickly adjust to the NFL style

#8 – Carolina Panthers

The Pick: Derek Barnett, DE – Tennessee

Why: Carolina needs some help in the trenches, and with no offensive lineman worthy of a top ten pick, I think the Panthers end up going with Derek Barnett, who had a fantastic year at Tennessee.

#9 – Cincinnati Bengals

The Pick: Reubuen Foster, ILB – Alabama

Why: If none of the top three Defensive Ends are on the board I see the Bengals going with Foster. He is a quick, fast thinking player that Cincinnati could instantly plug into their lineup,

#10 – Buffalo Bills

The Pick: Jamal Adams, SS – Bills

Why: I don’t know if Adams will fall here, but if he does, it’s an easy pick for Bills. Adams is a lengthy, athletic corner that could be a playmaker as a rookie for Buffalo.

#11 – New Orleans Saints

The Pick: Tim Wiliams, OLB – Alabama

#12 – Cleveland Browns (from Philadelphia Eagles)

The Pick: Teez Tabor, CB – Florida

#13 – Arizona Cardinals

The Pick: Marshon Lattimore, CB – Ohio State

#14 – Indianapolis Colts

The Pick: Dalvin Cook, RB – Florida State

#15 – Philadelphia Eagles (from Minnesota Vikings

The Pick: Marlon Humphrey, CB – Alabama

#16 – Baltimore Ravens

The Pick: Jabrill Peppers, LB/S – Michigan

#17 – Washington Redskins

The Pick: Malik McDowell, DL – Michigan State

#18 – Tennessee Titans

The Pick: John Ross, WR – Washington

#19 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Pick: Solomon Thomas, DL – Stanford

#20 – Denver Broncos

The Pick: Cam Robinson, OT – Alabama

#21 – Detroit Lions

The Pick: Taco Charlton, DE – Michigan

#22 – Miami Dolphins

The Pick: O.J. Howard, TE – Alabama

#23 – New York Giants

The Pick: Takkarist McKinley, OLB – UCLA

#24 – Oakland Raiders

The Pick: Zach Cunningham, MLB – Vanderbilt

#25 – Houston Texans

The Pick: Deshaun Watson, QB – Clemson

#26 – Green Bay Packers

The Pick: Charles Harris, DE – Missouri

#27 – Seattle Seahawks

The Pick: Quincy Wilson, CB – Florida

#28 – Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pick: Christian McCaffery, RB – Stanford

#29 – Atlanta Falcons

The Pick: Carl Lawson, DE – Auburn

#30 – Kansas City Chiefs

The Pick: Sidney Jones, CB – Washington

#31 – Dallas Cowboys

The Pick: Gareon Conley, CB – Ohio State

#32 – New England Patriots
