MY PICKS FOR THE NFL PLAYOFFS
AFC Wild Card
(5) Kansas City at
(4) Houston
Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 – 4:35pm, ESPN/ABC
The Kansas City Chiefs (11-5) are riding high into this game on a 10 game winning streak, while the Texans (9-7) are coming off of clinching the AFC South title last week. The last time the Chiefs were in the playoffs a 38–10 lead turned into a 45–44 loss to the Colts. However, against Brian Hoyer and the rest of the Texans I’ve got the Chiefs in a big win.
The Pick: Kansas City
ATS Pick: Kansas City (-3)
(6) Pittsburgh at (3)

How crazy would it be if AJ McCarron led the Bengals (12-4) to a victory while starter Andy Dalton (0-4 in playoffs) sits on the bench and watches. This game could get ugly as two arch rivals battle it out to see who advances in the playoffs. Despite the tough loss against the Baltimore Ravens two weeks ago, I have enough confidence in Big Ben and the rest of the Steelers (11-5) to get the job done.
The Pick: Pittsburgh
ATS Pick: Pittsburgh -3
NFC Wild Card
(6) Seattle at (3)
Minnesota
Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 – 1:05pm, NBC
Just 5 weeks ago the Seattle Seahawks (10-6) traveled to Minnesota to take on the Vikings (11-5) the same exact game as this. In that game The ‘Hawks dominated from start to finish and left with a 38-7 rout of a victory. This game will be cold, which the Vikings are more used to with temperatures ranging from -2 to 1 degree (Wind Chill of -16). Is that enough to close a 31 point gap? No.
The Pick: Seattle
ATS Pick: Seattle -4

The best game of the Wild Card Weekend is also the last as the 10-6 Packers travel South to DC to face the 9-7 NFC East Champion Washington Redskins. The Redskins have won 4 out of their 4 last games while the Packers have won 4 of their last 10. What makes that stat intresting however is that the Redskins are 0-3 against teams with a winning record this year (They played the Jets, Patriots (#2 AFC), and the Panthers (#1 NFC)) Despite all of that I am giving the edge to Kirk Cousins, who has outperformed Aaron Rodgers recently and to the Washington Redskins.
The Pick: Washington
ATS Pick: Washington +1
