NFL RECAP WEEK 11

Bills at Dolphins

Jarvis Landry had 5 catches for 46 yards and a touchdown, Brandon Gibson had 2 catches for 13 yards and a touchdown and Ryan Tannehill threw for 240 yards and 2 scores as the Dolphins beat the Bills 22-9.”To stay over the .500 mark, to win in the division and to beat the Bills, it’s a good night,” defensive tackle Jared Odrick said. Miami improved to 6-4, its best start since 2008. “You have to start playing good football this time of the year,” coach Joe Philbin said. The Bills dropped to 5-5 and their chances of making the playoffs for the first time in 14 years are looking bleak. “I’m tired of it, we’re all tired of it and we know the fans are tired of it,” safety Aaron Williams said. “It hurts.”

Texans at Browns

JJ Watt had 5 tackles, a sack and was all over the field on defense. He also caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from first-time starter Ryan Mallet as the Texans beat the Browns 23-7. “He’s a special player,” Mike Pettine, the Browns coach said. “You run to him. You run away from him. You try to do different things. He’s an excellent player.” Mallet threw for 212 yards and another score in his first start with Houston. “It feels good,” said Mallett, a former third-round pick in 2011 who backed up Tom Brady in New England for 3 years. “It made the four years worth it.”

Seahawks at Chiefs

Jamaal Charles rushed for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns but the defense was the star as the Chiefs defeated the Seahawks 24-20 to move them into a tie for first with the Denver Broncos. “We’re sitting there with three fourth-down plays late in the game,” Reid said, “and they stepped up and did a phenomenal job there getting off the field.” Charles played a huge role in the win, “He’s Jamaal Charles,” Reid said. “He’s a special player.”

Broncos at Rams

Shaun Hill got the job of starting quarterback of the Rams, throwing for 220 yards and a touchdown in his return as the Rams defeated the Broncos 22-7. “Obviously, we were facing one of the best teams in the league,” Hill said after the Rams surprised Denver on Sunday. “Everybody stepped up, for sure.” Hill was out with a thigh injury for the past two weeks. “It’s a constant process to stay up, especially as a backup, it’s tough,” Hill said. “But it’s something you’ve got to do.”

Patriots at Colts

Jonathon Gray RAN, not throw RAN for over 200 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Patriots defeated the Colts 42-20. “It’s kind of funny because on Saturday I walked into the building and Mr. [Robert] Kraft pulled me aside and said, ‘You’re going to have a big game this week, so be ready,'” said Gray, who played college football three hours away from Lucas Oil Stadium at Notre Dame. “Just hearing that from the owner and hearing that from the head coach, hearing that from the leader of the team, definitely gives you a positive outlook and definitely gives you the mindset to go out and do your best.” Tom Brady also threw for 250 yards and added a pair of scores.

Steelers at Titans

Ben Roethlisberger threw for 207 yards and a touchdown and Le’Veon Bell ran for 204 yards and a score as the Steelers defeated the struggling Titans 27-24. “Just hearing that from the owner and hearing that from the head coach, hearing that from the leader of the team, definitely gives you a positive outlook and definitely gives you the mindset to go out and do your best.”
