TALK OF THE TOWN 10/14: ORTIZ’S GRAND SLAM LIFTS SOX TO GAME 2 VICTORY (ALCS GAME 2: TIGERS AT RED SOX)

Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer was striking out Red Sox left and right, everything was going great for the Tigers! 1-0 Tigers, Detroit batting and Miguel Cabrera blasts a home run to left and it is 2-0 Tigers! 3-0 Tigers and Tigers batter Alex Avila crushes the ball and that’s a 2-run homer for the Tigers and the Tigers are up 5-0! But the Red Sox would come back! Bottom 6th, Red Sox batting and Dustin Pedroia blast a double to left center, that drives in a run and it’s 5-1 Tigers. Then, bases loaded and Red Sox batting, David Ortiz tskes the first pitch and completely slams it to right for a grand slam and we are tied at 5! Bottom of the 9th, man on 3rd for the Red Sox and Jarrod Saltalamacchia hits a  grounder between 2nd and 3rd base and that drives in a run and the Red Sox walk off to win 6-5!
