TALK OF THE TOWN 9/27: e-MO-tional moment in Bronx

RIVERA’S LAST GAME IN THE BRONX

Let’s start top 8th and Rays batter  Evan Longoria hits a single to center that drives in two runs, the Rays would win this game 4-0 but that wasn’t the big story in this one Mariano Rivera would come out and pitch to 4 batters, all 4 were outs and then he is taken out of the game by his two “brothers” Derek Jeter and Andy Pettite. It was an amazing thing to see, you will never see anyone like him. I would bet everything that he is going to be in the Hall of Fame, I mean look st hid numbers: 652 career saves (Most in MLB History), 2.21 Career ERA ( Lowest since 1920, min, 1,000 IP) 42 career postseason saves (24 more than any other pitcher) and he Saved games for 6 Cy Young winners (Tied most all time). It was an amazing moment in the Br0nx that i’m sure any fan of baseball will never forget.
