UPDATE ON NFL OWNERS MEETING AFTER DAY 1: BLACKOUTS, DEZ BRYANT AND MORE
Here are some things I have heard from the 2015 NFL owners meeting
- Expanded Playoffs likely to be started in 2016-17 season as opposed to this year
- Greg Hardy and Adrian Peterson issues will also be discussed
- NFL expects more than 3 games in the 2016-17 season and is also discussing games in December, as well as the removal of automatic byes
- The Blackout Policy will be scraped during the 2015-16 NFL season and next year there will be talk about permanently removing it.
- There has been a tweak made to the definition of a catch after the Dez Bryant fiasco. “Receiver needs control of both feet & has to have it long enough to clearly establish himself as a runner. New language.” they stand by the incomplete pass ruling on that play before and after the rule change.
