UVA SPORTS UPDATE: 31/7/13

WOMEN’S GOLF

Virginia senior golfer Portland Rosen earned two silver medals at the 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel. Rosen had a total score of 222 that fell 15 strokes short of winner Laetitia Beck (207).  Rosen also competed for the U.S.  in the team competition where the U.S. placed 2nd with a score of 682, Israel had a score of 680.

MEN’S TENNIS

Virginia senior tennis player Jarmere Jenkins recieved the 2013  Anthony J. McKevlin Award, given every year to the top male athlete in the ACC. The list of nominees are below.
