TENNIS UPDATE

The university of Virginia won the men’s doubles NCAA championship with a win over  Chris Camillone and David Holiner of Texas      3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Jenkins who is from College Park,GA came short at the Men’s finals falling to Blaz Rola 7-6, 6-4. UVA won 2/3 of the major NCAA tennis titles with the win. Jamere Jenkins (College Park, GA) and Mac Syslinger (Birmingham, AL) are the doubles champions for the 5th time in school history.

VIRGINIA ROPES UP NATIONAL SEED

Virginia (47-10) got the #6 overall seed yesterday and will host UNC Wilmington, Elon and Army. The UVa-Army game is on Friday at 1PM and the UNCW-Elon game will be played on Friday at 6PM. The losing teams will play Saturday in an elimination game and the winners will play Saturday at 6 PM. The second elimination game (Winner of 1pm Saturday game vs 6PM Saturday loser) will be played on  Sunday at 1 PM. The winner of the Sunday 1pm game vs the winner of the Saturday 6 pm game will be played Sunday at 6pm in an elimination game for the team that won the Sunday 1pm game if the sunday 1pm game winner wins then they will play a 3rd elimination game for both teams Monday at 6pm and the winner will advance to the super regional. If the Saturday 6pm winner wins Sunday 6pm then they advance to the super regionals.
