BASEBALL
It was 5-3 following the 18 hour,3 minute rain delay, Mississippi State had added a run in the 7th so the score was 6-3 Kenny was on 2nd, Mike at 1st, Joe up to bat, 2 outs and Joe singled, scoring Towns. 6-4 Bottom 9th inning Brandon was up he hit the ball, and knew he was out, he wasn’t an error by the pitcher allowed Papi to score. 6-5. Derek Fisher was at the plate he knew he could hit a nice little liner down the 3rd base line and pick up an RBI. D-Fish got what he wanted… sort of he hit it down the left field line, straight to 3rd baseman who quickly threw to first to end UVa’s year. UVa finishes 50-12 on the year, Mississippi State will advance to Omaha where they will face… Well who knows?
